The CGA Team designed the complex to have 85,000
• square feet under roof, including a City fueling station, and will be designed to GBC LEED "silver"
® standards. This includes design criteria for water, sewer, roadways, parking lots, drainage, hardscape,
® landscape, and irrigation. The project is being bid as a design/build project with the 30% plans and
criteria package. In addition, the overall City site includes approximately 30 acres of wetland
® mitigation as part of a permit issued by SFWMD, Broward County, and the Army Corps of Engineers to
® compensate for disturbed wetlands. In addition the upgrading of perimeter canals are being done.
• Prepared the design criteria package for a new water and wastewater treatment plant ($120.0 mil).
0 Project consisted of facility siting, capacity requirement determination and preparation of Design
® Criteria package. Project acquired using the 2-stage engineer lead Design-Build method of delivery.
0 The CGA Team assisted the municipality with reviewing qualification of design/builders, assistance
with award. The CGA Team was chosen to act as the as the Owner's Engineering Representative during
® construction.
® • Designed and coordinated construction of a $15.4 mil water treatment facility expansion. This project
included a 12 MGD anion exchange system for color removal, 12 MGD of treatment unit capacity and 12
® MGD filtration system capacity. Final permitted facility capacity was 16 MGD with 4 MGD of redundant
® treatment and filtration capacity. Was Engineer of Record and carried out all project management
® functions including coordination of project meetings, shop drawing reviews, inspections and approval
of payment requests. Project was completed as a Contractor led Design/Build project.
0
• Designed and coordinated construction of a $14.2 mil wastewater treatment facility expansion. This
I® Design/Build project included a permitted system capacity increase from 10.1 to 12.6 MGD (TMADF)
® with the addition of a 5th concrete Aeration Basin (approx 250' x 28') containing eight (8) cells, a 4th
100 ft diameter Secondary Clarifier, a 3rd 8000 gpm Injection Well Pump with appurtenances, RAS
® pumping system piping modifications, Upsizing of two (2) 200 HP Aeration Blowers to 500 HP each, the
® addition of a 5th 500 HP Aeration Blower, and conversion of four (4) existing Aeration cells and One (1)
® new Basin cell to Anoxic operation. Additional improvements include replacement/modernization of
the existing Plant-Wide SCADA system. Was Engineer of Record and carried out all project
j® management functions
® • Coordinated design of modifying an existing WWTP for aquifer recharge and reuse to gain CUP credits
and meet existing WWTP permit requirements. Prepared a Pilot Study Protocol and Performance
0 Study. The Pilot Plant study of new treatment equipment included: Pilot plant and study design,
® Approval of Study by Florida Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), Pilot plant study (6
® months operation) including analytical testing. In addition, he supervised Treatment Plant Design and
preparation of Design Build Documents. The Basis of design report (BODR) included: preparation of
® construction cost estimate, process design of new equipment, sizing of new equipment and piping, and
® siting of equipment.
® • Prepared a Neighborhood Improvement Plan for the Bonaventure area of the City of Weston which
encompassed an area of 7.8 square mile. Some of the major items included landscaping/irrigation,
0 roadway improvements and drainage improvements.
® • Prepared the design criteria package for an ion exchange system and was owner's representative
during construction( $1.5 mil)
0
• Prepare the design criteria package for an on-site sodium hypochlorite generation system and was
® owner's representative during construction. ($5.0 mil)
® • Prepared consumptive water use permit applications, including the preparation of the reuse feasibility
study, long-term water supply plan, water conservation plan and coordination of hydrogeological
O modeling services.
0
O Page 3i 11
