• Lauderhill Water/Wastewater/Stormwater GIS conversion - Converted all of the Engineering
® city's hard copy As-builts into a digital PDF format. Georeferenced each As-built and Army Engineer Officer Basic
® digitized the water system to include water mains, valves, hydrant locations, service CourseESRI Sponsored On-line
® lines, and fire lines. These features included information about the diameter, Courses
® construction material, length, and type. Digitized the sewer and stormwater
systems to include sewer mains, sewer valves, lift stations, service lines, manholes, PROFESSIONAL
® catch basins, and fallouts. The same information that was provided in the water ASSOCIATIONS
® system was also provided for these features. Due to the age and infrequent updates Florida Region of the
to the As-built drawings, numerous trips were made into the field with a handheld American Society for
® GPS device to determine manhole, hydrant, valve, and pipe locations. AmericanPhotograSociety
• Lauderhill Genero Refurbishment - Genero is the Citywide Asset Management
0 System utilized by the City of Lauderhill. The database was sorely lacking in Florida Chapter of the Urban
® standardization and was a serious burden to use. Due to the lack of standardization, and Regional Information
® met with department managers and determined the most efficient way to organize Systems Association
the information in Genero. Produced a document detailing the new standards and Broward County GIS Users
0 held multiple training sessions for the city employees who utilize Genero on a Group
® regular basis. Because of the multiple duplicate folio numbers, each record in the Florida Utilities User Group
® database was checked against the most recent taxroll information, the city's records,
and the Florida Department of State Division of Corporations database. Building off
® of the corrected folio numbers and records, the building, permitting, and utility
® billing departments' files and records were incorporated into the database and
® linked to the correct locations. Again these departments were trained in the new
standards and practices.
® • Weston Sign Inventory - Assisted in developing the ArcPad application specific to
this project. Field tested and did troubleshooting on new GPS devices and assisted
® in creating, for the survey crews, a methodology of collecting data. Took the raw
® data collected by the survey crews and did geo-processing to derive location
information as well as identify which signs were located on the same sign post
0 despite the fact that every sign blade was collected rather than sign posts. Created
