PATEL, M.Sc., CPSSc. <br /> PRESIDENT, SENIOR SOIL SCIENTIST <br /> Shailesh Patel has 20 years of experience in the consulting business and in particular developing viable <br /> projects for both private and municipal and county entities. He has worked on numerous watershed <br /> water quality and land development projects that have included sediment assessment, dredging, <br /> waterfront facilities and related structures, including buildings, parks, mining wastes, drainage and <br /> stormwater management, transportation issues, environmental surveys and related mitigation. He is <br /> President of Dredging & Marine Consultants, LLC and has twice served as the President of the Florida <br /> Lake Management Society and serves on other technical and civic organizations. He has managed or <br /> assisted with numerous controversial public dredging and marina projects from initial feasibility studies, <br /> involving the public, to project implementation and Inspection to post-construction assessment. <br /> Shailesh continues to add to his extensive knowledge of designing cost-effective and environmentally- <br /> sound lake, estuary, and canal/channel dredging and shoreline stabilization and land development <br /> projects, including sediment treatment, management, disposal operations, beneficial reuse of dredged <br /> sediments, source control and impacts of tidal, storm or hurricane surges on protection structure. He is <br /> well spoken and understands the value of effective listening and communication to our clients and <br /> public concerns and needs and has presented to City and County councils for many projects. He has <br /> the ability to visualize the long term needs of clients and understand the economic, social, and political <br /> climates and has worked on many highly visible and controversial projects so that they can be <br /> implemented. His biggest attribute is to be able to forge a good relationship and open communication <br /> with various stake holders on large scale projects and keep the various stakeholders focused on the <br /> goal of long-term projects. He continually participates in professional, scientific, and marine <br /> construction conferences to keep abreast of advances in dredging, water quality, and latest marine <br /> products to educate the public and clients.
