(B&A) provided engineering design, <br /> • permitting, project management and construction administration <br /> Roadway Widening, Sheetscape <br /> • services for this roadway reconstruction project that entailed <br /> O <br /> & Drainage Reconstruction converting a 'A mile of a 2-lane roadway into a 4-lane divided <br /> Aventura, Florida roadway. The roadway improvements included new paving, <br /> • grading and streetscape improvements such as curb and gutters, <br /> • Client: City of Aventura sidewalks, landscaping, street lighting, striping and signage. <br /> • Completion: 2003 The reconstruction also included a new stormwater drainage <br /> Cost: $1.5 Million system that consisted of interconnected exfiltration trenches and <br /> • emergency outfall to the inter-coastal waterway and new water <br /> • service mains from N.E. 29th Avenue. <br /> • The Civil Engineering Team manaced all permitting activities for <br /> • this project through local County and City government public <br /> • works, water and sewer management authorities and assisted <br /> • the City in obtaining grant funding from South Florida Water <br /> Management District,which funded half of the construction cost. <br /> • Value encineered material alternatives brought construction <br /> • costs down and kept the project under budget. Efficient design <br /> and permitting allowed construction to commence and end <br /> • ahead of schedule. 28 <br /> • <br />
