(B&A)was tasked by the Pompano <br /> • Kiosk Building Beach CRA to analyze the beach's existing concession building, <br /> • aptly named the "Kiosk' Building, for transformation both <br /> Pompano Beach, Florida functionally and aesthetically into a prime destination for public <br /> • beach amenities. The program includes restrooms and 3 different <br /> • Client: Pompano Beach concession venues. All of these were designed into the existing <br /> • Community Redevelopment Agency footprint of the building, which was integrated into the new <br /> • Pompano Beach Improvements design along a prime pedestrian <br /> pathway with a large deck area for cafe style tables and chairs. <br /> e <br /> • Located in the heart of City's prime beach district,the Kiosk building <br /> is one of very few existing structures east of the coastal construction <br /> • line deemed too valuable to remove. One key requirement in the <br /> • redesign was the need to completely remove and replace the <br /> • existing and deteriorated flat roof. B&A designed a taller sloping <br /> standing seam metal roof that provides greater shade for the <br /> • building while providing more verticality and allowing it to be seen <br /> • from greater distances along the beach. <br /> • The B&A team provided all new design,architecture, mechanical, <br /> • electrical and plumbing systems, and structural upgrades. 22 <br /> • <br />
