In addition to using grid patterns for -- — ,, — <br /> Isampling within the cultivated grove areas, point source - — „, ,, o,,,,,ta„w_ — — — — - <br /> (discrete) samples were collected in areas of concern <br /> Iassociated with canal sediments, mix and load areas, tank storage areas, pole barn locations, pump <br /> stations, and burn areas. Areas of concern were identified both through interviews with site <br /> representatives (landowners or site managers) and through onsite observations. In addition to the usual <br /> analytical suites, organochlorine and organophosphorus pesticides, chlorinated herbicides, target <br /> I metals, and petroleum parameters were added as analytes at the pump stations; and carbamate analysis <br /> was added for areas where Sevin® had been used. An ecological risk assessment was conducted for <br /> I <br /> each site after completion of the Phase II ESA investigations. <br /> ECT prepared Phase III remedial action plans for several large-tract parcels.
