Kiln dust was used to increase the alkalinity of the sludge to render it nonhazardous. Cover consisted of clay. high-density polyethylene. and vegetation. Project Engineer; Groundwater Remediation Design, FDOT RCRA Landfill—Designed air stripping tower, piping. pumps. and control system for drum disposal site in Fairbanks. Florida. with groundwater impact from chlo- rinated solvents. Prepared contractor specifications for excavation. decontami- nation procedures. and air monitoring for RCRA hazardous waste disposal. Project Engineer; Site Delisting, BMI Textron—Prepared rationale for delisting this facility in Boynton Beach. Florida, from the National Priority List. Facility was impacted with cyanides. fluorides, heavy metals. and chlo- rinated solvents. Design Engineer; Groundwater Remediation, Sterling Drug—Designed airstripping treatment system to remediate chlorinated solvents and benzene at hazardous waste landfill in Albany. New York. Also designed a pretreatment system to alleviate organic and inorganic fouling of carbon vessels. Project Engineer; Contamination Assessment, Upjohn Chemical- I Performed a contamination assessment at this experimental pesticide facility in Delray Beach. Florida. contaminated with DDT. DDE. and pesticide-carrying agents. Assessment was performed in Level B health and safety gear. Per- i formed hydraulic calculations to project treatment flow rate for remediation design.
