<br /> Eden Lake Parks and Roadway Development, Miami Dade County Parks and Recreation
<br /> Department (September 2008 to March 2010)
<br /> (Park Improvements) The Eden Lakes parcel was an undeveloped property of The Miami-Dade
<br /> Parks & Recreation Department, targeted for improvements under the capital improvement program.
<br /> The Park is located on S.W. 162nd Avenue and 47th Street, in a recently developed residential area.
<br /> It is bordered on the East and South sides by two schools. The Park's parcel consists of
<br /> approximately 425,000 sq.ft., of undeveloped wetlands, which sits approximately 4 ft. below the
<br /> abutting roads. Involvement in this project spanned the better part of two years; from design,
<br /> geotechnical engineering, surveying, bidding & award to construction administration. The scope of
<br /> the project included approximately 9,000 linear feet of new concrete walkways, walkway signage
<br /> and markings, berming, and re-grading, drainage, site furnishings, a new 20-car parking lot, and
<br /> landscaping throughout. The construction phase of the project was 4 months with a construction
<br /> budget of$1,000,000.
<br /> (Roadway Improvements) The project scope of work and/or the project elements included but was
<br /> not limited to providing design and construction administration services for the roadway
<br /> improvements along SW 162nd Avenue and SW 47th Street. Elements of work included widening,
<br /> milling and resurfacing roadways, sidewalk, signing, and pavement markings, lighting, utility
<br /> coordination, drainage, landscaping, cost estimates, and all necessary incidental items including a
<br /> warrant analysis and the design of the traffic signal for the intersection located at SW 162nd Avenue
<br /> and SW 47th Street. In addition, KM Engineering, Inc., is the Prime Consultant and as such is
<br /> responsible for Contract Maintenance, all Permits required for the project, Project Manager
<br /> meetings, and everything associated with the Roadway Analysis as well as Quality Assurance and
<br /> Control.
<br /> Westbrook Park Development, Miami Dade County Parks and Recreation Department (April
<br /> 2009 to August 2009) Westbrook Park was an existing, undeveloped property of The Miami-Dade
<br /> Parks & Recreation Department, targeted for improvements under the capital improvement program.
<br /> The Park is located on S.W. 103rd Avenue and 13th Street, in a quiet neighborhood area on a corner
<br /> and consisted of 90,000 sq.ft. of undeveloped park land. Involvement in the project spanned the
<br /> better part of two years; from design, geotechnical engineering, surveying, bidding & award to
<br /> construction administration. The scope of the development included approximately 3,000 linear feet
<br /> of new concrete walkways, which included walkway signage and pavement marking, berming and
<br /> re-grading, drainage, site furnishings, a new playground, and landscaping throughout. The
<br /> construction phase of the project was 4 months with a construction budget of$400,000.
<br /> Lummus Neighborhood Improvements, City of Miami Beach, Florida (February 2007 to
<br /> February 2010) The Lummus neighborhood is the area bounded by 161h Street to the north, 5th
<br /> Street to the South, Washington Avenue to the West, and Ocean Drive to the East. The area
<br /> consists of multi-family structures with significant retail / commercial components. The scope of this
<br /> project was to develop and prioritize streetscape and urban improvements equitably throughout the
<br /> neighborhood as well as to upgrade water and Storm water infrastructure in accordance with.the
<br /> recommendations. Some of the construction management services provided for this project included
<br /> but not limited to weekly construction/coordination meetings, respond to request for information
<br /> (RFI's), contract documentation, and inspect all MOT operations as well as review, track and
<br /> maintain construction schedules. 41)
<br /> Nautilus Infrastructure Improvements, City of Miami Beach, Florida (April 2007 to February
<br /> 2010) Nautilus Neighborhood, "Middle Beach" from Surprise Lake south, to the south ends of the
<br /> 41st Street right-of-way and from Biscayne Bay east to the Indian Creek waterway, Miami Beach,
<br /> Florida. The Scope of this project, milling & resurfacing, new gravity drainage wells, sanitary sewer
