Continuing Professional Architectural & Engineering Services 2.0 Qualifications ..
I
RFQ No. 12-04-02
• Blue Lake Development of Regional Impact Review
Provided transportation analyses in conformance with Chapter 380.06, Florida Statutes, Question 21
1 requirements for 557-acre mixed-use development in the City of Boca Raton, which includes a 600-
room hotel, 551,000 square feet of commercial use and 4,500,000 square feet of office/industrial use.
• Districtwide Access Management
McMahon assisted the Department in Access Management Classification or Reclassification for
roadway segments added to the State Highway System or warranting change in classification.
1 Roadways were reviewed for compliance with FDOT Administrative Rule 14-97 with the objective
of maintaining the highest appropriate Access Classification (Classes 2 through 7). Key to the
access classification assessment are issues such as intersection and signal spacing, types and
spacing of median openings, the character of adjacent land uses and other related existing and
future characteristics. Among the services provided include coordination with affected
1 governmental agencies and conducting public hearings.
SERVICE TYPE— TRAFFIC ENGINEERING STUDIES
McMahon has completed numerous traffic engineering studies for both private and public sector
1 clients in Broward, Palm Beach and Miami-Dade Counties. These studies addressed the
traffic/transportation requirements of both municipal and county codes and regulations for various
phases of development approval.
West Flagler Street Reversible Lanes Study, Miami-Dade County, Miami-Dade County
Lana Moorey, P.E., Project Manager
I 111 NW 1st Street, Suite 1510
Miami, FL 33128-1970
(305) 375-2863
The project required an analysis of four (4) alternative reversible lane scenarios for West Flagler Street,
between NW 74th Avenue and NW 24th Avenue in Miami-Dade County. The reversible lane study also
included the evaluation of the traffic impacts at all major/signalized intersections along the corridor
and used the recommended warrants for the use of reversible lanes. Multiple alternatives were
evaluated by modeling the subject corridor using Synchro software. The project also included
1 evaluating the signal timing along the corridor, and optimizing the timing for compatibility with each
of the reversible lane alternatives. The study included a recommendation of a preferred alternative,
based on the criteria for Reversible Lane Warrants as stated by ITE, AASHTO and the NCHRP
Synthesis 340, and construction cost estimates.
1
AMcMAHON
2-4
