Continuing Professional Architectural & Engineering Services 2.0 Qualifications <br /> RFQ No. 12-04-02 <br /> ' • Dorsey Riverbend Neighborhood <br /> Through the special funding of Community Development Block Grant Program, specifically the <br /> ' "Front Porch Program," McMahon performed a neighborhood traffic calming study. As a result of <br /> numerous Neighborhood Public Workshops, the study was approved, and the project advanced to <br /> design and construction plans. The neighborhood project, approximately $1.4 million, includes <br /> ' gateway features, sidewalks, intersection chokers, roundabouts, street lighting and drainage <br /> improvements and is currently under construction. <br /> City of Fort Myers/Downtown Redevelopment Agency (DRA) <br /> McMahon has been the Transportation Consultant to the City/DRA, between 2003 and 2009. In this <br /> t capacity, we have worked on numerous projects and studies, in an effort to continue to improve the <br /> economic vitality of the DRA. Below is an abbreviated listing of projects in the last seven (7) years. <br /> Sneed Knzend, P.E., Director, Public Works Don Pnight, Executive Director <br /> ' 1400 Jackson Street 1400 Jackson Street <br /> Fort Myers, FL 33901 Fort Myers, FL 33901 <br /> (239) 321-7100 (239) 321-7100 <br /> ' • Cleveland Avenue (US-41) Master Plan <br /> Within the south and western limits of the DRA, Cleveland Avenue is a seven (7) lane undivided <br /> highway. This project examined a "pilot" segment, from SR-82/Martin Luther King, Jr., Boulevard <br /> to Canal Street, an approximate 1.25 mile segment, to improve safety and mobility. McMahon <br /> ' performed a corridor study, coordinated with the City/DRA, Lee County and FDOT, and <br /> developed a proposed typical cross-section, including a landscaped median. McMahon also <br /> assisted the City/DRA with FDOT to secure funding for the project. The project is planned to be <br /> advertised in the Fall/Winter 2012, as a design project along the length of US-41, totaling over 3.0 <br /> miles, to Colonial Boulevard. <br /> ' • Downtown/Utility Streetscape Improvement Project <br /> As a Consultant for Maintenance of Traffic (MOT), during construction, McMahon evaluated a <br /> ' specific area of critical downtown mobility. The City embarked on a $60 million utility <br /> improvement project, which closed certain downtown streets, during construction. The project <br /> MOT, at critical intersections, required signal timing and sequencing modifications to minimize <br /> ' motorists delay. The project is in its third year of construction, and should be completed by the <br /> Spring of 2010. <br /> SERVICE TYPE—ASSISTANCE WITH LOCAL AREA PLANNING <br /> McMahon has extensive experience in working with municipalities and the FDOT in the administering <br /> ' of the DOT, Federally supported Local Area Planning (LAP) programs. This LAP program is an area <br /> where municipalities can capture this funding opportunity to address on-system (DOT owned) and off- <br /> system (not owned by DOT) infrastructure improvements. McMahon has also assisted in seeking LAP <br /> approvals for municipalities. With a municipality LAP certification, the municipality can manage the <br /> 1 AMCMAHON <br /> 2-12 <br />
