The project required the development of an urban design, with on- <br /> 1 street parking, sidewalks, bus bays, improved :S 5. x ;. , G ��`5 : ` .. <br /> ,x <br /> landscaping and highway lighting. The limits begin at Federal <br /> Highway, US-1/SR-5, and extend east, approximately 0.67 miles, to the approach of the Intracoastal <br /> Bridge. <br /> I • Hillsboro Boulevard Signal Corridor, Century Village (Amadeo Trinchitella) Boulevard and <br /> Goolsby Boulevard/Lock Road <br /> IAs part of a LAP/JPA project between the City of Deerfield Beach and FDOT, the City proposed to <br /> improve two (2) traffic signalized locations along Hillsboro Boulevard: 1) Century Village <br /> I Boulevard (aka Amadeo Trinchitella); and 2) Goolsby Boulevard/Lock Road. These two (2) <br /> locations were also part of major traffic signalization communication upgrades by Broward County, <br /> the maintaining agency. The Century Village Boulevard intersection was a simple traffic <br /> I signalization upgrade to steel mast arms, from its existing span wire configuration. The <br /> intersection of Goolsby Boulevard/Lock Road, was more extensive, and required a complete <br /> realignment of the opposing left-turn lanes on the approaches, so to eliminate the split left-turn <br /> Iphasing, and provide more green time to main street green, or Hillsboro Boulevard. This project <br /> also required extensive coordination with FDOT and Broward County for approvals. <br /> I <br /> I AMcMAHON <br /> 2-13 <br />
