1 <br /> • Interpret and explain plans and contract terms to <br /> administrative staff, workers, and dients, representing the <br /> owner or developer. <br /> • Assist in obtaining all necessary permits and licenses. <br /> • Confer with supervisory personnel, owners, contractors, and <br /> design professionals to discuss and resolve matters such as <br /> work procedures, complaints, and construction problems. <br /> • Investigate damage, acddents, or delays at construction <br /> sites, to ensure that proper procedures are being carried <br /> iout. <br /> Under Structural Engineering, the activities may include, but shall not be limited to: <br /> • Provide structural plans and specifications for any given <br /> project. <br /> • Provide structural calculations to satisfy the authorities <br /> 1 having jurisdiction. <br /> • Provide consultation services to the Building Department as <br /> needed which may indude, but not be limited to, inspections <br /> and plans review as may be directed by the building official. <br /> ' • Provide inspections and associated reports <br /> • Use structural engineering modeling software such as RAM <br /> Advanse, Enercalc or Revit. <br /> Under MEP Engineering, the activities may include, but shall not be limited to: <br /> • Provide mechanical, electrical, and pluming plans and <br /> ' specifications for any given project. These may indude <br /> plans for fire alarm, fire sprinkler, generator design, and low <br /> voltage design such as computer cabling and security. <br /> • Provide MEP calculations to satisfy the authorities having <br /> jurisdiction. These design calculations include, but are not <br /> limited to hydraulic calculations, energy and load <br /> calculations, and electrical calculations. <br /> ' • Provide consultation services for LEED implementation and <br /> energy efficiency strategies <br /> t • Provide consultation services to the Building Department as <br /> needed which may include, but not be limited to, inspections <br /> and plans review as may be directed by the building official. <br /> ' • Provide inspections and associated reports. <br /> ' • Use structural MEP engineering software such as Energy <br /> Gauge, Trane Trace, or Revit. <br /> Section 4.2.1.6 shall be added to read as follows: <br /> t4.2.1.6 CONSTRUCTION MANAGER <br /> • The selected Firms shall be firms licensed as a General Contractor with the State of <br /> Florida. All professional services shall be performed under the direction of a professional <br /> Tuesday_. May 01. 2012 <br />
