L. x6r
• 5TH AND ALTON AT SOUTH BEACH, MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, FL This private sector project, in South Beach,
• is a very recent example of Mr. Rodriguez ` project management role and traffic engineering expertise. The 5th and Alton
• at South Beach project dealt with a unique multi-use commercial and public parking facility at the gateway to South Beach.
The project involved the preparation of the Traffic Impact Study directed not only to the traffic aspects but also garage
• operations/circulation and the incorporation of public transit facilities that will meld with the City's and County's proposed
• mass transit programs for Alton Road. Mr. Rodriguez' work included oversight of traffic analyses, meetings with City
representatives, and board and Commission hearings.
•
MIAMI-DADE COUNTYWIDE PARKING POLICY STUDY, MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, FL: Mr. Rodriguez
• directed this major countywide policy study which investigated the state of parking regulations, enforcement, needs, local
• policies and objectives and activities. The resulting report emphasized several recommended actions oriented towards the
• incorporation of integrated and consistent parking regulations and policies.
• ANALYSIS OF ACCESS ALTERNATIVES AND INTERMODAL TRANSIT FACILITY, SR-7 & SAMPLE ROAD
• INTERCHANGE, SEMINOLE COCONUT CREEK CASINO, BROWARD COUNTY. FL Mr. Rodriguez was the
project manager for this project which involved the analysis of several conceptual access configuration alternatives at the
SR-7 and Sample Road Interchange for the Seminole Coconut Creek Casino (SCCC) in Coconut Creek, Florida. As part
of the overall access analysis, the potential accommodation of a transit station in the northeast quadrant of the SR-7 and
• Sample Road interchange was assessed. In addition, alternative viable bus transit station sites were identified and assessed
• as well. The analyses included current Broward County Transit (BCT) services, proposed bus routes and extensions,
• and the Coconut Creek Community bus system. Route alignments, headways, bus stops, and terminal circulation were
evaluated for up to four potential transit station sites.
®
UNIVERSITY OF MIAMI. CORAL GABLES.
