This experience includes commercial development of retail <br /> Florida LA0000900, 1983 space, offices, and hotels; urban renewal projects; government facilities design; transit projects; <br /> streetscape designs; and highway landscape, as well as the layout and design of parks and <br /> Professional Affiliations recreational facilities, coastal and waterside parks, landfill conversions, and greenway and trail <br /> American Society of systems. <br /> Landscape Architects(ASLA) Mr. Belton's recent project experience includes: <br /> Broward Section Chair p 1 p <br /> I Florida Urban Forestry Council Sawgrass Expressway Highway Beautification, City of Coconut Creek, FL.This project <br /> involved the preparation of a complete Florida Highway Beautification Grant application <br /> package for the landscaping and irrigation of 1.25 miles of the Sawgrass Expressway. <br /> The design successfully combines a buffer to residential areas with beautification of the <br /> expressway's north terminus toll plaza using a naturalistic planting of South Florida native plant <br /> material. <br /> NE 4th Street Pedestrian Promenade, Miami, FL.As lead landscape architect, Mr. Belton <br /> I worked with Miami-Dade College and the City of Miami to reconfigure a city street doubling <br /> the amount of pedestrian space available for students at the downtown Wolfson Campus. <br /> Also included was the addition of street trees, upgraded lighting, and street furnishings. The <br /> improved pedestrian circulation also facilitated improved use of the Metromover station located <br /> In the project area. <br /> Gateway Boulevard (Seacrest Boulevard to Federal Highway), Boynton Beach, FL. <br /> This project included a street widening that was effectively used as a redevelopment project <br /> I of a city-linking corridor. Also included was the development of neighborhood identity <br /> and congruity through the use of improvements to pedestrian systems, landscaping, and <br /> architectural features. <br /> I Boca Raton Downtown Redevelopment, Boca Raton, FL. Mr. Belton was involved in the <br /> design of hardscape and landscape features for the right-of-way(ROW)improvements for <br /> a downtown community redevelopment agency(CRA)district. The project included Florida <br /> East Coast(FEC) railroad ROW easements for landscape and parking enhancements. Special <br /> I pavements and plant materials were used to further the city's special and historically opulent <br /> aesthetic. <br /> City of Oakland Park Downtown Renaissance Program, Oakland Park, FL. Mr .Belton <br /> I provided landscape architectural review for this project, which included review and support <br /> services for the redevelopment of 16 blocks of downtown streets, sidewalks, and public spaces, <br /> as well as the landscaping of high-profile transit corridors and over six municipal parks. <br /> I 65th Infantry Veteran's Park Master Plan, Osceola County, FL.Atkins provided master <br /> planning services that included: two conceptual plans, a final master plan, two public meetings, <br /> and a cost estimate. The park is envisioned to be an "extension of your backyard" for the <br /> neighbors who live adjacent to the property, yet serve all the residents in this densely populated <br /> I area of the county. The park will take advantage of the existing topography remaining from the <br /> golf course by having an extensive trail system that meanders throughout the site and along the <br /> existing water bodies.
