ILandscape Architecture 13-6 <br /> 1 <br /> I <br /> Harry Belton, RLA Miami Springs Downtown Redevelopment, Miami Springs, FL. Mr. Belton developed <br /> Project Team Manager and a master plan for the central business district of Miami Springs. The emphasis was on <br /> Streetscape/Median Design enhancements to pedestrian systems, streetscapes, and urban design. The components of the <br /> district included retail shopping, professional offices, residences, and a waterside promenade. <br /> Judge Arthur I. Snyder Tennis Center, North Miami Beach, FL. Mr. Belton served as senior <br /> landscape architect for this project, which involved providing full master planning services, <br /> architectural design for the clubhouse, landscape architecture, civil engineering, and ecological <br /> science services for the site development of the project. Cost estimating was also provided at <br /> this master plan level to support the city's effort with regard to budgetary and funding issues. <br /> I Pearl City Redevelopment, Boca Raton, FL. Mr. Belton served as lead landscape architect on <br /> this project's that was designed to provide major infrastructure improvements to this historical <br /> African-American community. The improvements for this community included sidewalk and <br /> landscape improvements with a strong cultural and historical context as design impetus. <br /> Jupiter Community Center, Jupiter, FL.This project involved expansion of the town's <br /> municipal complex integrating the existing city hall, the police station, and a new major <br /> recreation and events building. The 20-acre complex was developed as the town's center for <br /> municipal activities and cultural events. <br /> MoCA Plaza, North Miami, FL. This project involved the master planning and conceptual <br /> design of the public plaza acting as the forecourt to the Museum of Contemporary Arts. The <br /> plaza, adjacent to the city hall, was to be used as a center for official municipal events, cultural <br /> expositions, and city-sponsored concerts. <br /> Library Park, Islamorada, FL. Mr. Belton provided the design of a 1.5-acre park that is part of <br /> I a civic complex. The park's elements included playgrounds, a flexible field space, picnic facilities, <br /> and a swimming beach. <br /> FDOT District Six Districtwide Landscape Architectural Services.This project is a <br /> continuing contract intended for general landscape architectural activities. Tasks vary from <br /> 1 design and production to presentations, project scoping, asset management, plan review, and <br /> construction observation. Mr. Belton represents the district in meetings and works with other <br /> consultants to coordinate landscape programming proposed by the district. <br /> Aesthetic Design Guidelines, Florida's Turnpike Enterprise.As lead landscape architect, <br /> Mr. Belton was responsible for the development of a complete aesthetic design guidelines <br /> package for the Sawgrass Expressway program. Elements of the program included soundwalls, <br /> bridge treatments, gateway features, sign structures, fencing, guardrails, and landscaping. <br /> Aesthetic treatments were based on a context-sensitive approach to develop a transportation <br /> facility that fits its physical setting and preserves scenic, aesthetic, historic, and environmental <br /> resources, while maintaining safety and mobility. <br /> Glades Road (I-95 to NW 7th Avenue), FDOT District Four, Boca Raton, FL. This project <br /> widened travel ways, added bike lanes and improved access along the frontage of Florida <br /> Atlantic University. Landscaping worked to enhance the State's image to the University and the <br /> community while meeting very restrictive utility coordination and roadway safety considerations. <br /> Ann's Beach Park, Islamorada, FL. Mr. Belton was involved in the improvements to an access <br /> park at an existing beach.
