<br /> Kevin Schot serves as a project designer with Atkins' Fort Lauderdale landscape architecture
<br /> and planning group. He is involved in the creation of the site analysis, concept plans and
<br /> details, construction documents, staff hour estimates, marketing concepts, and imagery. His
<br /> responsibilities also include construction administration, field reviews/inspections, project
<br /> coordination, and communication with the client and project members.
<br /> Mr. Schot has a combined total of three years work experience within Florida. He spent two
<br /> years working with a design-build firm in Fortaleza-Ceara-Brazil(2005-2007). He speaks fluent
<br /> Portuguese. Mr. Schot's portfolio includes citywide transportation and development studies,
<br /> topographic studies, town center design, mall and out-parcel commercial developments,
<br /> residential community developments, resorts, high-rise roof garden and community area
<br /> design, plaza design, parks and recreation, institutional facilities, and roadway construction.
<br /> His background includes Florida state highway and roadway design and construction
<br /> administration. He is familiar with FDOT plans production process, District Electronic Review
<br /> Comments (ERC) terminology, and CAD standards. Currently Mr. Schot is pursuing a state
<br /> licensure for the practice of landscape architecture within Florida.
<br /> Mr. Schot has recently been involved in the following projects
<br /> Biscayne Boulevard, FDOT District Six, Miami, FL. This project is an urban roadway corridor
<br /> a infill project. The scope of work includes the design of landscape architectural improvements
<br /> and construction administration. Services consist of site analysis, verification of survey, planting
<br /> and hardscape design, plant and hardscape material selection and approval, site inspections,
<br /> and field reviews. A portion of this project includes the field inspections for landscape and
<br /> irrigation plans produced by another firm.
<br /> Downtown Gateway Conceptual Design Planning Services, Delray Beach, FL.
<br /> This project for the Delray Beach Community Redevelopment Agency(CRA)involves the
<br /> construction of a special gateway to announce the entrance to the downtown area of Delray
<br /> Beach along Atlantic Avenue from the 1-95 interchange. The focus of the gateway is to
<br /> commemorate important events and to reflect the city's identity and history. Phase I services
<br /> include providing the conceptual design for the entrance with input from four subconsultant
<br /> artists.
<br /> Coral Gate Park Site Design and Construction Management Services, Margate/
<br /> Broward County, FL. This project for the City of Margate involves renovation of the 3.6-
<br /> acre Coral Gate Park that had recently been used as a collection site for debris from Hurricane
<br /> Wilma. The scope of work includes civil engineering, site design, surveying, landscape
<br /> architecture, architecture, and construction management for the renovation, which included
<br /> tennis courts, basketball courts, playground area, picnic facility, new restroom building,
<br /> pedestrian walkway with seating, parking, new fencing, landscaping, and lighting.
<br /> Dolphin Mall Landscape Architecture Services, Miami, FL. This project involves landscape
<br /> 1 architecture services provided as a subconsultant to the Good Group for the Dolphin Mall,
<br /> a 200-acre, destination outlet mall located in Miami and owned by the Taubman Company.
<br /> The project is associated with the expansion of the mall through the addition of a Bass Pro
<br /> Shops store. Services include site planning, landscape design, irrigation design, permitting, and
<br /> assisting mall management with general site landscape upgrades.
