Once completed, B&A will seek Silver certification, at minimum, under the LEED Green <br /> • Building Rating System of the U.S. Green Building Council New Construction. Mr. Suarez and the <br /> EDUCATION Team conducted LEED feasibility report analysis during schematic design and organized charette <br /> • Bachelor of Architecture, sessions. The new two story courthouse has approximately 39,000 SF of public, semi-public spaces <br /> • University of Florida, 1973 andrivate.The new three story ry parking garage will contain 475 parking spaces and approximately <br /> • 190,000 SF of constructed area to accommodate parking booths,control gates and approximately <br /> • REGISTRATION 20 private spaces on the ground floor area. <br /> Registered Architect <br /> • State of Florida, 1974 Athalie Range Park Improvements Miami,Florida-Project Architect.As part of a Continuing Services <br /> • Reg.No.6878 Contract, provided A/E services for the development of construction documents, bid/negotiations <br /> and construction administration. The project scope included the remodeling of the existing pool <br /> • Certified General Contractor facility,including office,bathrooms,pool and pool equipment.Construction cost-$1.5 million. <br /> • Florida Construction Industry <br /> Licensing Board. 1978 <br /> • <br /> ICS - Intelligent Corridor System Control Center South Miami, Florida - Architect. Provided design <br /> • Registered Certified General services for this 32,030 SF facility which was the first of three planned for South Florida. The heart is <br /> Contractor#013330 an elliptical, 2.5-story control room allowing maximum visibility of the 48 4'X4' highway monitors. <br /> • Ten consoles sends messages to drivers via electronic signs, divert traffic if necessary and organize <br /> • police, fire or other agencies. The facility has complete emergency support systems. Challenges <br /> • included integrating an elliptical space within a rectangular building while providing optimal access <br /> ® to the video wall.In keeping with FDOT guidelines,the design is entirely metric. <br /> • COMMERCIAL/HOSPITALITY EXPERIENCE <br /> • Technology Center of the Americas (TECOTA), Miami, Florida - Project Architect. TECOTA is the <br /> ® country's first ground-up telecom hotel that houses the Network Access Point(NAP)of the Americas, <br /> the fifth carrier-neutral Tier-1 NAP in the western hemisphere. This 6-story state-of-the-art telecom <br /> • hotel will provide a class "A" facility for telecom tenants. Floors are reinforced slobs to allow for <br /> • heavy loads and equipment. <br /> • NAP of the Americas,Miami,Florida-Project Architect. The 5th Carrier-Neutral Tier-1 Network Access <br /> • Point (NAP) in the United States. Located in the TECOTA (Technology Center of the Americas), the <br /> • NAP of the Americas is a premier facility providing interconnection between Global Carriers, ISP's <br /> • and others as well as connecting fiber networks in Latin America to the US and beyond. <br /> • Art Institute / International Fine Art College, Downtown Miami, Florida - Project Architect. Project <br /> • consisted of the interior build-out of 60,000 square feet of ground floor space for a new Art Institute/ <br /> • IFAC within the existing Omni Center. Designed a new facade on the ground and second floor of the <br /> • building along Biscayne Boulevard and N.E. 15th street.This included the creation of new storefront <br /> windows to allow pedestrians to view the scholastic activities occurring in the art classrooms. The <br /> • type of classrooms range from art and painting to sewing and interior design.
