KHA prepared landscape, irrigation, and roadway <br /> 0 plans for this 3,500-linear-foot section of SR Al A funded by both a Florida Department of Transportation (FOOT) local agency plan <br />® grant and the City of Vero Beach.Worked closely with the City to establish a low-maintenance plant palette and specifications for <br /> irrigation for the project. in addition to conformance with FOOT design criteria for trees of small calipers due to the median width. <br />® Veterans Memorial Park, Port St. Lucie, FL—Served as landscape architect for this award-winning, 60-acre park honoring military <br /> 0 veterans. The master planning process included workshops with local groups and agencies to identify specific goals for the park. The <br /> resulting master plan identified a variety of user activity areas that maximize park flexibility and minimize user conflicts. <br /> 0 Walton Road - US Highway 1 to Lennard Road, Port St. Lucie, FL— Provided irrigation services. KHA provided landscape and <br />® irrigation plans for this 1.2-mile section of Walton Road from US Highway 1 east to Lennard Road. This project was prepared for <br /> ® St. Lucie County, but was within the City of Port St. Lucie immediately adjacent to their new City Center project. The City agreed to <br /> ® provide the maintenance along this section and team meetings were held with KHA, the City, and County during design phases to get <br /> "buy-in" on plant material selection and irrigation system design. Low water usage irrigation heads and bubblers were used in the <br /> ® irrigation design, as well as xeriscape, low maintenance plant material,and brick paver borders along median edges to alleviate the <br /> use of sod and also provide a safe refuge for maintenance crews.
