Our management process is
® proven to be one of the most efficient processes for controlling numerous activities encompassing a variety of
disciplines in a timely and cost effective manner. These processes have been tailored to meet the individual
® needs of each of our clients. From our experience of working with local and statewide governmental
® entities, we have already incorporated into our project management approach those components
® which address the demands of an as-needed professional services contract administered by the City
of Sunny Isles Beach. Effective management is the most critical component for successful completion of a
• project, from initiation through final deliverables and invoicing.
o Personnel Assignment and Task Execution
® Although our organizational structure is discipline driven, overall program management will be executed under
• a single point of contact. The primary liaison for this contract is Jonathan Haigh, RLA, who is based in our
West Palm Beach office and is committed to ensuring immediate availability and direct communication with
o the City. As project manager, Jonathan will be responsible for ensuring that Kimley-Horn is meeting the City's
® goals for a project's technical quality, as well as all financial and schedule commitments. He will work closely
® with each discipline leader to ensure that communication is seamless and that the City is being served by
the most qualified and appropriate professional for the task at hand. With a single point of contact the City is
ensured that consistent and exceptional client service is being provided throughout the project.
• For an as-needed, discipline driven contract, such as this one; once tasked by the City, Jonathan will identify
O and assign the project to the appropriate staff based on work scope requirements. He will take complete
o control of the project for Kimley-Horn, while continuing to inform and involve the City, and manage the day-
• to-day aspects of the assigned task. Jonathan will also be integral in developing the project's scope of work,
budget, and schedule, in addition to identifying the appropriate resources. He will coordinate regular meetings
• with internal and external team members. At this meeting, the project team representatives will identify their
status of completion and any areas where additional effort is needed to ensure compliance with project
schedules.
® Should outside resources be necessary to meet project needs or address emergency situations, our contract
and project managers have the support of our regional production managers and have immediate access to
nearly 400 employees located within the state and more than 1,600 individuals nationwide.
• Schedule and Budget Management
• We recognize that budget and schedule control are critical to the success of your program. Meeting your
• schedule for deliverables is not just a goal to us—it is a mandate. Cost and schedule control are inherently
• tied to people. Their experiences, vision, management styles, and philosophies all affect significant
® components of a project approach and its execution. One of the important cost and schedule control
mechanisms will be the team's previous experiences and lessons learned. Identifying realistic goals,
• developing a focused action plan that addresses only those items necessary to accomplish the goals,
• anticipating the implications of decisions made in early phases to future phases, and preparing a mechanism
for addressing unexpected challenges are important in establishing cost and schedule control. They build the
framework for completing a successful project within budget and on schedule.
®
RFC)No. r1 Kimley-Horn
U1.30W1=.12o.12o Su Sunrry Isles Lan& pP n' Architeclure.indd ` and Associates,Inc.
• 4-1
