The receipt of such list shall not require the CITY to investigate the qualifications of proposed subcontractors or suppliers, nor shall it waive the right of the CITY later to object to or reject any proposed subcontractor or supplier, and is furnished by CONTRACTOR to CITY for informational purposes only. Subject to the rights of the CITY to purchase supplies and materials in furtherance of the sales tax program as described in Article 6.16 hereof,CONTRACTOR shall have authority in awarding subcontractors and purchase orders. 6.1.3 Extent of Responsibility: CONTRACTOR shall be responsible for the architecture, engineering,construction and completion of the Project. 6.2 Guaranteed Maximum Price. 6.2.1 The Guaranteed Maximum Price is also subject to further reduction by an amount calculated by multiplying the applicable Florida sales tax rate times the amount of material and supplies purchased by the CITY under the sales tax program described in Article 6.16 hereof. The Guaranteed Maximum Price may be modified only as herein provided including possible changes as a result of Extra Work as may be documented in a City Commission approved Change Order[s]. 6.2.2 The Guaranteed Maximum Price shall include in the Cost of Work only those taxes which are enacted at the time the Guaranteed Maximum Price is established. 6.2.3 The Guaranteed Maximum Price shall include all direct and indirect costs associated with the design and construction phases of the Project, including but not limited to, procurement of materials and equipment, labor,overhead,profits, contingency,permits, insurance,performance and payment bonds,utilities, fees,and taxes. 6.3 Administration. 6.3.1 The CONTRACTOR shall schedule and conduct weekly meetings at which the CITY and CONTRACTOR, and appropriate Subcontractors can discuss the status of the Work. The CONTRACTOR shall prepare and promptly distribute meeting minutes. 6.3.2 The CONTRACTOR shall provide monthly written reports to the CITY and designated consultants on the progress of the entire Work. 6.3.3 The CONTRACTOR may develop a system of cost control for the Work, including regular monitoring of actual costs for activities in progress and estimates for uncompleted tasks and proposed changes. 6.4 Design Responsibilities. 6.4.1 CONTRACTOR shall prepare preliminary design documents consisting of preliminary drawings, specifications and other documents to fix and describe the size, quality, quantity and characters of the Work, its architectural, structural, mechanical and electrical systems and the materials and other elements of the Work. 9 CV r .
