Summary Minutes:Regular City Commission Meeting February 18,2016 City of Sunny Isles Beach,Florida <br /> reenacting crimes by video,they have helped solve a lot of cold cases,and cases where there <br /> were actually no leads at the time. We have the perfect vehicle to fit their needs for housing <br /> and transporting their video equipment.The value of this vehicle to us would be minimal yet <br /> to Crime Stoppers it would be very much appreciated. <br /> Public Speakers: None <br /> Commissioner Goldman moved and Commissioner Levin seconded a motion to approve <br /> the resolution. Resolution No. 2016-2520 was adopted by a voice vote of 5-0 in favor. <br /> 10B. A Resolution of the City Commission of the City of Sunny Isles Beach, Florida, <br /> Reappointing Rafael E. Suarez-Rivas, Esq., and Ellen Lavin, Esq., and Appointing <br /> Craig H. Coller, Esq. as Special Masters, for a Period of One Year, in Accordance with <br /> Section 14-3 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Sunny Isles Beach; Providing for an <br /> Effective Date. <br /> Action: City Clerk Hines read the title,and Deputy City Manager Morris reported this is our <br /> yearly appointment of Special Magistrates that oversee our Code cases. <br /> Public Speakers: None <br /> Commissioner Goldman moved and Vice Mayor Gatto seconded a motion to approve the <br /> resolution. Resolution No. 2016-2521 was adopted by a voice vote of 5-0 in favor. <br /> 10C. A Resolution of the City Commission of the City of Sunny Isles Beach,Florida,Approving <br /> the Selection of Cigna as the Provider for Employee Health; Humana as the Provider <br /> for Dental Insurance and Vision Care; Lincoln Financial as the Provider for Life <br /> Insurance, Accidental, Death & Dismemberment (AD&D) Insurance, Long Term <br /> Disability Insurance,Voluntary Short Term Disability Insurance,and Voluntary Life <br /> Insurance,for a One-Year Period;Authorizing the City Manager to Enter into Agreements <br /> with these Providers, Provided Said Agreements are Approved as to Form and Legal <br /> Sufficiency by the City Attorney; Further Authorizing the City Manager to Do All Things <br /> Necessary to Effectuate this Resolution; Providing for an Effective Date. <br /> Action: City Clerk Hines read the title,Human Resources/Risk Management Director Yael <br /> Londono reported that we work closely with our brokers of Brown&Brown to get the best <br /> rates possible. After negotiations with Cigna and Humana we received a proposal with a <br /> slight increase, and a rate pass for our Vision Insurance and our Life and Disability <br /> Insurances. She also noted we have with us tonight Samantha Graveline, Patricia Berger, <br /> and Bob Hollander from Brown & Brown, and she thanked them for their assistance. <br /> Public Speakers: None <br /> Commissioner Goldman moved and Commissioner Levin seconded a motion to approve <br /> the resolution.
