<br />City of Sunny Isles Beach | Invitation to Bid No. 16-04-01 15 <br /> <br />shall not relieve the Contractor from furnishing, installing or performing such work where required to <br />the satisfactory completion of the project. <br /> <br />2.19 LICENSES, PERMITS AND FEES <br /> <br />The Contractor shall obtain and pay for all licenses, permits and inspec tion fees required for this <br />project; and shall comply with all laws, ordinances, regulations and building code requirements <br />applicable to the work contemplated herein. Damages, penalties and or fines imposed on the City or <br />the Contractor for failure to obtain required licenses, permits or fines shall be borne by the Contractor. <br /> <br />2.20 LIQUIDATED DAMAGES FOR INCOMPLETE PROJECTS <br /> <br />Failure to complete the project in accordance with the specifications and to the satisfaction of the City <br />within the time stated for s ubstantial and/or final completion shall cause the Contractor to be subject <br />to charges for liquidated damages in the amount established in the Florida Department of <br />Transportation 2015 Standard Specifications for Road & Bridge Construction, Section 8-10, for each <br />and every calendar day the work remains incomplete beyond these deadlines. The liquidated <br />damages amounts are as follows: <br /> <br />Original Contract Amount Daily Charge Per Calendar Day <br /> <br />$250,000 but less than $500,000 ....................................................................................... $1,074 <br />$500,000 but less than $2,500,000 .................................................................................... $1,742 <br /> <br />As compensation due to the City for loss of use and for additional costs incurred by the City due to <br />such non-completion of the work, the City shall have the right to deduct the said liquidated damages <br />from any amount due, or that may become due to the Contractor under this agreement, or to invoice <br />the Contractor for such damages if the costs incurred exceed the amount due to the Contractor. <br /> <br />2.21 WEEKLY PROGRESS REPORTS <br /> <br />The City shall require that the Contractor attend weekly progress meetings and provide reports on <br />the status of the project. The report shall include at the minimum the following information; <br /> Background on the project itself <br /> Discussion of the achievements since last reporting <br /> Discussion of problems that have arisen <br /> Discussion of work that lies ahead <br /> Two week look ahead schedule <br /> Update on estimated schedule and budget completion <br /> <br /> <br />END OF SECTION <br /> <br />
