<br />City of Sunny Isles Beach | Invitation to Bid No. 16-04-01 16 <br /> <br />Section 3 <br />Scope of Work / Technical Specifications <br /> <br />SCOPE OF WORK <br />The Scope of Work consists of providing all labor, materials, equipment and incidentals necessary to repair <br />and/or restore existing storm water lines, as well as install new drainage lines and structures. This includes <br />but is not limited to the installation of a Resin Impregnated Cured in Place Pipe (RICIPP) lining , exfiltration <br />trench, RCP and HDPE pipe. Additional reports, plans and documents are attached to this ITB. <br /> <br />Construction stakeout and as-built/record drawings will be provided by the Contractor, as will all other <br />surveying services required for project completion and close out. <br /> <br />The Contractor shall be fully responsible for the performance and for the completion of all Work specified in <br />the Contract Documents. <br /> <br />Coordination with the City and other parties involved is required regarding provisions for the location specifics <br />of each work site, traffic control signage, purchasing/acquiring water and identification of the nearest sediment <br />disposal site. The Contractor has ultimate responsibility to perform Work in accordance with all rules and <br />regulations that pertain to the industry which work is performed. <br /> <br />TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS <br />1. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment and tools necessary for the point repair <br />or full reconstruction of stormwater lines by the installation of a Resin Impregnated Cured in Place <br />Pipe (RICIPP) lining. <br /> <br />2. Work performed under this contract including finished products shall conform and adhere to all <br />applicable standards and specifications of the Florida Department of Transportation Standards <br />Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction, latest edition unless otherwise specified in writing on <br />this contract. <br /> <br />3. No work shall be performed until the Contractor has received a Notice to Proceed from the City. <br /> <br />4. The Contractor shall be responsible for obtaining all necessary local permits required to undertake the <br />proposed scope of work. <br /> <br />5. The Contractor shall at all times maintain order and discipline while working on or within the City’s <br />property or easement throughout the course of the workday. <br /> <br />6. The Contractor shall submit its proposed plan and method for performing the Work described herein <br />including a list of equipment and personnel anticipated to be used. <br /> <br />7. Roadway restoration requirements shall be as follows <br />a. 12” limerock base - FDOT Group 6, grading and compaction @ 98% modified proctor <br />b. 12” Subgrade installed in 2-6” lifts with commercial stabilizing material meeting the FDOT <br />specification for road bed construction compacted @ 95% modified proctor
