Russo,City Manager <br /> FROM: Susan Simpson,Cultural and Community Services <br /> Director <br /> DATE: 4/21/2016 <br /> Agreement with Shorty's Bar-B-Q, Inc.for Catering <br /> RE: Services for the City's 19th Annual Anniversary <br /> Celebration <br /> RECOMMENDATION: <br /> This resolution is presented for your consideration. <br /> REASONS: <br /> The City's annual anniversary event, featuring a barbecue,is scheduled for <br /> June, 12,2016.Staff wishes to utilize the services of Shorty's Bar-B-Q,Inc to <br /> provide catering services for this event in an amount up to$28,870.00. <br /> Through RFP number 12-03-02,the City awarded the catering services for <br /> this event to Shorty's Bar-B-Q,Inc.The initial agreement provided for 4 one <br /> year optional renewals which include June 2016.Shorty's has proven to have <br /> the personnel,experience and expertise to provide catering services for this <br /> large scale event. <br /> Shorty's has provided a quote for$28,870.00 for an estimated 3,000 guests. <br /> This is the same price as previous years.The agreement allows for a final <br /> head count to be provided no later than June 9th for no less than 2,500 guests. <br /> The request is for an amount up to$28,870.00. <br /> FUNDING SOURCE: <br /> Funding is budgeted for and available in General Ledger account <br /> number 001-6-5730-431000-60833 for this item. <br /> ATTACHMENTS: <br /> Description <br /> Resolution <br /> Agreement <br /> Item Number: 10.E. <br /> http://sunnyisles.novusagenda.com/AgendaWeb/CoverSheet.aspx?ItemID=1879 4/15/2016 <br />
