City of Sunny Isles Beach <br /> Water Supply Plan Update <br /> First Reading January 21,2016 <br /> Adoption Hearing April21,2016 <br /> District's approval of an updated Lower East Coast Regional Water Supply <br /> Plan. <br /> Conservation Element <br /> Policy 2F: Implementation of the 2016 10-year Work Plan Update shall ensure that <br /> adequate water supplies and public facilities are available to serve the water <br /> supply demands of any population growth that the City may experience. <br /> Policy 2G: The City shall coordinate the planning of potable water and sanitary sewer • <br /> facilities, water supply sources, demands, other services and level-of- <br /> service standards with the City of North Miami Beach, South Florida Water <br /> Management District, and through the 2013 Lower East Coast Water Supply <br /> Plan Update, as necessary. <br /> Policy 2M: The City will participate, when warranted, in the SFWMD's Water Savings <br /> Incentive Program (WaterSIP) for large-scale retrofits as recommended by <br /> the 2013 Lower East Coast Water Supply Plan Update. <br /> Intergovernmental Coordination Element <br /> Policy 3U: The City shall coordinate the planning of potable water and sanitary sewer <br /> facilities, water supply sources, demands, other services and level-of- <br /> service standards with the North Miami Beach Utility, Miami-Dade County <br /> WASD, Miami-Dade County Department of Environmental Resources <br /> Management Regulatory and Economic Resources, South Florida Water <br /> Management District, and through the 2013 Lower East Coast Water Supply <br /> Plan Update, as necessary. <br /> Policy 3Y: The City will coordinate with the South Florida Water Management District <br /> concerning its jurisdictional authority as necessary and support its efforts <br /> concerning the 2013 Lower East Coast Water Supply Plan Update. <br /> ACCELER8 Everglades and CERP and the Biscayne Bay Coastal <br /> Wetlands Project to protect an Outstanding Florida Water — Biscayne Bay. <br /> Objective 5: Support climate change and sea level rise initiatives. <br /> Policy 4-5k Support the M-D Water and Sewer Department and South Florida Water <br /> Management District in any efforts to evaluate the consequences of sea <br /> level rise, changing rainfall and storm patterns, temperature effects. and <br /> cumulative impacts to existing structures and existing legal uses. <br /> 21 <br />
