Andrews
® Technology
•
Hardware Functionality Highlights
All of Novatime's time clocks are PUSH devices. Meaning all punches are sent to the server in real time. No polling is
needed with Novatime PUSH clocks. Please see the Descriptive Literature section for spec sheets on the NT450 and
NT7000 terminals listed below.
• NT450:Available as a Proximity, Pin Entry, or Biometric Finger Terminal. The NT450 has function buttons which
can be customized to provide employees with self service capabilities or labor tracking capabilities right at the
clock. Employees can be allowed to view their schedule, view their timesheet, and/or status of
sick/vacation/personal days. The NT45O also has messaging capabilities where managers can send messages to
groups or individuals displayed at the clock once employees punch in/out. With Labor tracking employees can be
prompted for what job, location, department, etc. are they punching into.
• NT7000: Available as a Proximity, Pin Entry, or Biometric finger terminal. The NT70O0 has all of the same features
the NT450 offers with a few additional features. The NT7O00 is a touch screen terminal. Instead of interacting
with function buttons on the side of the screen as with the NT450, with the NT7O00 employees will interact with
the actual screen. The NT7O00 also has a built in camera where a picture can be taken of each employee every
time they punch. The NT7000 is also multi language. The clock can be changed to display information in Spanish,
French or Chinese. The NT7000 also has communication options. The clock can be standard Ethernet, Power Over
Ethernet, or Wireless. Additionally the NT7000 has the ability to allow employees to request time off at the
terminal. The request is forwarded to the appropriate supervisor for approval.
• GT400: Available as Biometric Hand Terminal. Designed for preventing buddy punching in extremely dirty
environments. When employees may not be able to use the biometric finger due to the nature of their work
(grease or mud on fingers) the GT400 reads the silhouette of an employee's hand and not an actual print.
Note: There is no need for privacy concerns with the fingerprint terminals. No fingerprint information is sent from
the clock to the server. All fingerprint templates are saved as numeric codes unique to each employee. The only
information sent from the clock to the server is Employee ID number and their Biometric code number.
Thank you again for the opportunity to respond.
