Biological monitoring included a hardbottom edge and emergent epifauna survey, nearshore transect data (video,
sediment depth, sand/hardbottom line intercept measurements, and permanent quadrat assessments), Acropora
cervicornis data (health indices and sediment depth), and artificial reef data (sediment accumulation and photographic
documentation). To supplement the pre-construction dataset for the current Project, data recorded in April 2011 during
the five year post-construction monitoring event on four 30 m transects monitored for the Broward County Segment III
Shore Protection Project was also analyzed. Managing post construction compliance efforts including hardbottom and
epifaunal edge surveys and regulatory permit compliance.

e.
(1) TITLE AND LOCATION (City and State) (2) YEAR COMPLETED
Kennedy Park Shoreline Stabilization, Miami, FL

PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CONSTRUCTION (If applicable)
Ongoing N/A

(3) BRIEF DESCRIPTION (Brief scope, size, cost, etc.) AND SPECIFIC ROLE  Check if project performed with current firm
Design and environmental permitting for a shoreline stabilization and enhancement project. Conducted detailed
mangrove and upland vegetation and topographic surveys to determine areas in need of enhancement and
placement of view corridors. Improving shoreline at existing passive use park to include exotic removal, stabilizing
shoreline with native vegetation and properly permitted natural shoreline stabilization and creation of public view
corridors through key locations within densely vegetated mangrove fringe.

f.
(1) TITLE AND LOCATION (City and State) (2) YEAR COMPLETED
Rickenbacker Causeway Recreational Area, Miami-Dade County,
FL

PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CONSTRUCTION (If applicable)
2010 2010

(3) BRIEF DESCRIPTION (Brief scope, size, cost, etc.) AND SPECIFIC ROLE  Check if project performed with current firm
Permitting of shoreline stabilization and associated public recreation area improvements along 2.5 miles of shoreline of
the Rickenbacker Causeway across Biscayne Bay. Marine resource and hydrographic surveys completed and coastal
engineering analysis conducted to assess design wave conditions, sediment transport and optimum shoreline stabilization
methods. Design elements included landscaping, invasive species removal with native species restoration, parking
improvements, stormwater management and vendor kiosks for waterfront activities.

g.
(1) TITLE AND LOCATION (City and State) (2) YEAR COMPLETED
Reach 8/South End Restoration, Palm Beach County, FL

PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CONSTRUCTION (If applicable)
2014 N/A

(3) BRIEF DESCRIPTION (Brief scope, size, cost, etc.) AND SPECIFIC ROLE  Check if project performed with current firm
Senior Project Manager directing and reviewing feasibility study, Equilibrium Toe of Fill Assessment, Mitigation
Design, and modeling to support application processing for proposed beach nourishment project for the south end of the
Town. Engineering assessment to evaluate sediment coming into project area from updrift beach renourishment and
corresponding adjustment to project construction template. Further adjustments to template to accommodate requests
from NGOs to secure support for project. Evaluated beach management, environmental permitting options and
processing environmental permits to authorize beach project.
h.
(1) TITLE AND LOCATION (City and State)
Village of Bal Harbour Beach Management, Bal Harbour, FL

(2) YEAR COMPLETED
PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CONSTRUCTION (If applicable)
Ongoing Ongoing

(3) BRIEF DESCRIPTION (Brief scope, size, cost, etc.) AND SPECIFIC ROLE  Check if project performed with current firm
Reviewed coastal processes and sediment budget at Bakers Haulover Inlet, including the Village shoreline. Evaluated
bypassing alternatives, and prepared conceptual design of inlet bypassing options that could potentially reduce erosion at
the Village, which is located downdrift of the Bakers Haulover Inlet. Additionally, evaluated feasibility of a bypassing
operation with regards to regulatory approval and potential funding sources, including inlet tax district opportunities.
Prepared Joint Coastal Permit applications and advise the Village Council on shoreline processes and management.
i.
(1) TITLE AND LOCATION (City and State) (2) YEAR COMPLETED
Village of Key Biscayne Beach Renourishment, Miami-Dade
County, FL

PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CONSTRUCTION (If applicable)
Ongoing 2012

(3) BRIEF DESCRIPTION (Brief scope, size, cost, etc.) AND SPECIFIC ROLE  Check if project performed with current firm
Senior Project manager providing strategic beach management consulting services to Village. Designed and permitted
37,485 cubic yard truck haul beach renourishment project, to include authorization for maintenance renourishment
events. Managed development, pre-construction survey, and oversee post construction seagrass surveys to ensure no
impacts from beach equilibration. The project was designed to avoid direct impacts to nearshore seagrasses and avoid
mitigation requirements.
