BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT AND RELEVANCE TO THIS CONTRACT (Include scope, size, and cost) <br /> <br />Coastal Systems evaluated 4.12 acres of shoreline within Kennedy Park fronting Biscayne Bay. The shoreline <br />restoration includes an upland restoration area of 1,640 linear feet to include removal of debris, exotic, invasive plant <br />species and re-planting of select areas with native species and accumulated sediments. Additionally, Coastal Systems <br />evaluated grades within the Project area to improve water access, stabilize the shoreline, and/or to enhance mangrove <br />planter areas to protect the shoreline against erosion. <br /> <br />Environmental permits from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Florida Department of Environmental Protection, <br />and Miami-Dade County PERA were obtained in 2012, and Coastal Systems is assisting the City of Miami with <br />grant processing for funding through the Florida Inland Navigation District (FIND) for construction. <br /> <br /> <br />25.
