(PSI) is a nationally recognized consulting engineering and testing fi rm <br />providing integrated services in several disciplines, including geotechnical <br />engineering, construction services, materials engineering & testing, roof & <br />pavement consulting, asbestos management, and facilities consulting and <br />engineering. They are a leader among the nation’s independent testing <br />organizations and rank among the country’s largest consulting engineering fi rms. <br />PSI maintains a large variety of land and marine subsurface exploration equipment along with laboratory and <br />offi ce facilities. They have more than 100 fully equipped exploration crews with drill rigs mounted on all types of <br />carriers to allow access to virtually any condition on land or water. The variety of sizes and types of equipment <br />and our crews’ broad experience permit fl exibility in sampling and drilling techniques and in scheduling. <br />Quality is an integral part of PSI’s approach to geotechnical work. Our principal consultants, professional <br />engineers with years of demonstrated experience, are the crux of our quality assurance program. These <br />principal consultants review all reports and documentation on each project to make certain that PSI’s <br />methodologies and contractual agreements are strictly followed and that conclusions and recommendations <br />are valid, eff ective and practical. <br />Firm Geotechnical Experience <br />For over 30 years, they have been providing geotechnical solutions for a variety of city and county governments <br />throughout Florida under challenging premises. PSI personnel have performed thousands of subsurface <br />explorations in south Florida and our experience ranges from projects requiring a few soil borings to large <br />projects requiring several hundred borings. They provide qualifi ed recommendations and use the most updated <br />fi eld equipment to gather our information. <br />They have provided similar services for many local municipalities and have held continuous professional services <br />contracts with: Miami-Dade County, Broward County, City of Miami, City of Miami Beach, South Florida Water <br />Management District, Florida Department of Transportation, School Board of Broward County, and Miami-Dade <br />County Public Schools among others. As a result, they have an excellent understanding of the local subsurface <br />conditions as well as local specifi cations required for this contract. <br />Their staff includes registered professional engineers with signifi cant construction inspection and testing <br />experience in South Florida. Their technicians are ACI, AWS and NICET trained/certifi ed in their respective <br />disciplines and our laboratories are annually inspected/certifi ed by CMEC and the FDOT. They have over 100 <br />employees located in our three South Florida offi ces as well as a nationwide network of support of 2000+ staff <br />members. Their unique combination of local, independent offi ces paired with a nationwide presence allows PSI <br />to provide the responsiveness and concern of a local fi rm with the collective skills and resources of a national <br />company. <br />United Engineering, Inc. provides structural design services that include New Construction, Expert Witness, Peer <br />Review, Value Engineering, Forensic Investigation, Rehabilitation/Repair, and <br />Construction Observation. Founded in 2011, the fi rm provides these services <br />across several market sectors that include governmental, commercial, <br />institutional, mixed-use, residential, healthcare, specialty structures, and sports facilities. They also have <br />experience with several delivery methods of construction such design-build, GMP, CM at risk, and traditional <br />design-bid-build.
