Landscape Architect Services RFQ No. 16-04-02 4-7 <br />Ba <br />c <br />k <br />g <br />r <br />o <br />u <br />n <br />d <br /> <br />a <br />n <br />d <br /> <br />O <br />r <br />g <br />a <br />n <br />i <br />z <br />a <br />t <br />i <br />o <br />n <br />a <br />l <br /> <br />St <br />r <br />u <br />c <br />t <br />u <br />r <br />e <br />Cristobal Betancourt, RLA has over 20 years of experience providing planning and landscape architecture design <br />solutions for public and private sector clients. Mr. Betancourt provides a full range of services <br />starting with due diligence and master planning culminating in detailed site design. Most of Mr. <br />Betancourt’s current projects involve the design of facilities that are pursuing LEED accreditation <br />through the United States Green Building Council. He is well versed in the use of low-impact <br />development techniques applied to site planning. Mr. Betancourt will serve as Project Manager for <br />this contract. In this role he will oversee each aspect of the project and serve as the main point of <br />contact for the City. <br />Jose L. Acosta, P.E. has over 17 years of design and project management experience in various industries, <br />including municipal continuing service contracts, K-12 education, higher education, healthcare, <br />transportation, and commercial/residential/industrial private development. His background includes <br />neighborhood improvement projects, streetscape enhancements, utility relocation, on- and off -site <br />infrastructure design, bidding assistance and construction administration services for several <br />municipalities throughout Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach Counties. Mr. Acosta will serve as <br />Principal-in-Charge of this contract. In this role he will assure client satisfaction, provide technical <br />supervision, contract negotiations and assist with any public or government coordination. <br />Eric Harrison, RLA has over 13 years of landscape architecture experience with several municipalities throughout <br />South Florida. He has provided design services for parks and recreation, university campuses, K-12 <br />education, corporate offi ce, commercial developments and healthcare facilities. Mr. Harrison will <br />oversee the QA/QC portion of this contract. In this role he will provide technical guidance and <br />Quality Control/Quality Assurance. <br />Jason Sutton, RLA is a project landscape architect with CMA. He has nine years of experience <br />providing landscape architecture services to public and private clients domestically and <br />internationally. Mr. Sutton began his career by working in the landscape construction industry and <br />adds signifi cant fi eld knowledge to our team. He has provided landscape, hardscape, and irrigation <br />design for diverse projects such as parks, cemeteries, resorts, and transportation projects and is <br />well versed in Low Impact Development techniques. He also brings experience with environmental <br />and wildlife monitoring. Mr. Sutton will assist with the landscape architecture/planning portion of <br />this contract. In this role he will act as the Landscape Architect; prepare landscape design <br />concepts; master plan; construction documents; and irrigation design. <br />Stefan Bortak, CID is a certifi ed irrigation designer - commercial for Chen Moore and Associates. He has 10 years <br />of experience with all aspects of irrigation consulting, design, details and specifi cations. He prepares <br />landscape, hardscape, and irrigation plans from concept to construction documents; irrigation <br />distribution plans; water use permits; water use analysis; LEED documentation and calculations. Mr. <br />Bortak also performs construction administration, shop drawing review, and inspections. He is <br />responsible for producing plan and section renderings and graphics, and realistic 3D renderings and <br />fl y-through videos. Mr. Bortak will assist with the landscape design portion of this contract. <br />Amber Mathis, CA is a certifi ed arborist and recently joined CMA’s Miami offi ce as a landscape designer. Her <br />previous experience includes serving as a Horticulturist for the City of Gainesville where she <br />developed and implemented the City of Gainesville’s tree planting programs; coordinated the <br />installation and maintenance of young trees on City property; supervised assigned employees; <br />inspected tree removal permits; assisted in shade tree inspections for new development; assisted <br />with Code Enforcement inquiries regarding tree regulations; coordinated with the CRA and the <br />Public Works Department on capital improvement projects to include design, development and <br />inspection; and wrote, coordinated and oversaw professional service contracts. Ms. Mathis will <br />assist with the landscape design portion of this contract.
