BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT AND RELEVANCE TO THIS CONTRACT (Include scope, size, and cost) <br /> <br />PSI catered the drilling and engineering analysis to provide <br />engineering recommendations for the roadway <br />reconstruction and utility improvements for West 48th Street <br />in Miami Beach, Florida. Utility improvements included a 20 <br />inch water main, 8 inch sanitary sewer line and a 15 to 24 inch <br />storm drainage pipe. PSI provided site preparation <br />recommendations which included material specifications and <br />the removal of unsuitable materials. Also provided geotextile <br />recommendations to be used to wrap the utility pipes along <br />the roadway alignment. Throughout the project PSI and the <br />design team overcame the presence of clayey and organic <br />soils, high groundwater table, corrosive water and drilling <br />safety precautions to accommodate for the weather, <br />construction operations and maintenance of traffic. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />25.
