<br />SW 17th St & SW 83rd Ave Roadway Improvements, North Lauderdale, Florida Senior project manager for the design and permitting for improvements on an existing undersized collector road, which provides access to two elementary schools and surrounding residential neighborhoods. Project improvements included de-mucking a portion of existing roadway, milling & resurfacing, roadway widening, new curb & gutter, drainage improvements and ADA improvements to the sidewalks and driveway crossings for the heavy pedestrian traffic from the existing schools. Design also included converting an existing non-stop roadway intersection into a stop warranted raised intersection with school crossing. 2014-2015, Senior Project Manager, Asst. Public Works/Utilities Director: <br />George Krawczyk, PE (954) 724-7070 <br />Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital Offsite improvements: Design and management of offsite improvements at 10 different locations surrounding the hospital associated with the construction of the Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital. Improvements included street closures, 2 new roundabouts, widening, adding turn lanes, signalization, realignment of the roadway, bus bays, and pedestrian crosswalks. These projects were closely coordinated with onsite hospital expansion, and require considerable utility and local agency coordination. Once completed, the roadway improvements significantly improved the traffic flow into Hospital’s “campus”. 2008-2011, Project engineer, Client Project Manager: Joe Alcure, Jr. (954) 433-7184 <br />SR 820/Pines Boulevard, Broward County, Florida: Roadway design including widening, adjusting medians, adding bus bays, drainage modifications, ADA upgrades and milling and resurfacing. Signing and pavement marking design for Pines Boulevard including reconfiguration of two mall entrances. Overall project coordination including roadway and signing and pavement marking plans, engineering during construction, and project close out. This project included multiple projects and funding sources extending from 136th Avenue to Douglas Road, including a LAP project, a JPA project, and a permit project. 2006-2009, Lead Designer, FDOT PM: John Thompson <br />(954) 777-4680. <br /> <br />SITE DESIGN PROJECTS: <br />Sage Beach Condominium, Hollywood, FL Project Manager and EOR for civil site design for condominium com- plex located east of A1A on Hollywood Beach. Design and permitting included replacement of the water main, coordination of utilities, drainage design including a closed system with wells and exfiltration trench as well as offsite roadway improvements for the two sites separated by South Surf Road. 2012-2013, Project Manager, Client/ Reference: PMG, Ned White, 305-917-1070. <br /> Dania Casino and Jai-Alai, Dania Beach, Senior Project Manager for site design for the onsite and offsite improvements required to upgrade the existing Jai-alai facility to accommodate a casino. Site plan processing, public hearing attendance and numerous site plan meetings were included in this process to achieve site plan approval through the City. Design and permitting for new offsite water mains, onsite service connections for water and sewer, site circulation, coordination of utilities, drainage design. Redesign of Fronton Blvd, a City owned roadway, was required as part of the developers agreement with the City. A median was added as well an additonl southbound lane, new parking for the adjacent parks, and two new entrances to the facility. 2013-ongoing, Senior Project Manager, Client Reference: F3 Architecture, Joaquin Gerlero <br />Rolling Oaks Park, Miami Gardens, Florida. Senior civil project manager for the design and construction of an ADA-compliant pedestrian trail and associated retention areas within Rolling Oaks Park. Wayfinding signage and ADA ramps were provided at the intersections along a route through the surrounding neighborhood to connect the new trail in the park to an existing walking trail in the Dolphin Center Park, which is located three quarters of mile away. These trail improvements were LAP funded and required a separate submittal and approval process. In addition, the existing drainage permit for the master site plan had to be modified to account for the proposed trail improvements. These new drainage facilities were carefully planned to avoid removing any trees as well as limit impacts to the future master plan for the park.
