Before joining CGA, Mr. Murphy was a Senior Project Biologist with The Chappell Group, Inc. During the seven years at The Chappell Group, Inc. Mr. Murphy was responsible for various environmental services for private and public entities. Included in Mr. Murphy’s responsibilities were environmental permitting, project management, project delegation, report writing, wetland jurisdictional determinations, environmental feasibility studies, construction observation, mitigation design, mitigation monitoring, benthic resource surveys, marine turtle lighting surveys and permitting, and permit compliance. <br /> <br />CONSTRUCTION OBSERVATION PROJECT EXPERIENCE <br />Ash Monofill – FPL Relocation, Davie. Conducted weekly construction inspections of the Florida Power & Light power pole and power line relocation construction. Coordinated with the FPL contractors to ensure all construction was performed in compliance with the environmental regulatory permits and also coordinated with Broward County Solid Waste Operations Division and FPL to ensure no wetland impacts occurred outside the footprint of the permitted impacts necessary for construction <br />Everglades Restoration Area, Weston. Conducted daily construction inspections of the restoration of a previously constructed (39.0 acre) wetland mitigation area. The project scope consisted of the restoration and construction of freshwater marsh, slough, tree island and transitional buffer habitat. <br />Hollywood Directional Bore, Hollywood. Conducted daily construction inspections of two (2) sub-aqueous directional boring crossings beneath the ICW for force and water mains. Prepared punch list of daily activities for review. <br />Dania Beach Marina, Dania Beach. Conducted daily construction observation/permit compliance inspections for the permitted dredging and marina redesign within Whiskey Creek in Dania Beach. Prepared punch list of daily activities for review. The redesigned marina and dredging were completed per the permitted specifications in 2013. <br />Sunrise Passive Parks, Sunrise. Conducted construction observation/permit compliance inspections for the permitted wetland components within two (2) City of Sunrise passive parks (Oakland Park Boulevard Passive Park and NW 44th Street Passive Park).
