Steven M. Watts, PSM Director of Survey SUMMARY OF QUALIFICATIONS Mr. Watts has 26 years of experience as a surveyor and mapper. Having spent his entire surveying career working in Broward County, he is extremely knowledgeable of the rules, requirements and specifications for completing surveying and mapping projects in the South Florida area. He specializes in architectural and engineering design type surveys, land acquisition, easements, title research, and computer mapping. PROJECT EXPERIENCE Director of Survey – Calvin, Giordano, & Associates, Inc., Fort Lauderdale, FL. As Director of Survey he is responsible and involved in all aspects of the company's surveying and mapping projects. Westchester Cultural Arts Center – Tropical Park: Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs: Survey Project Manager for the preparation of a Specific Purpose and Topographic Survey for a portion of Tropical Park. Tasks included as-built of drainage infrastructure, establish North right-of-way line of Bird Road, location of all above ground improvements within project limits and location of all trees and vegetation. Route Survey SW 144th Street, Miami Dade County: Florida Power & Light: Survey Project Manager for the route survey of SW 144th Street between SW 79th Court and SW 78th Avenue, Miami for a FPL transmission line canal crossing. Tasks included cross sections of canal bottom with plan and profile sheets. Boundary & Topographic Surveys - Miami Gardens Park: Survey Project Manager for the preparation of Boundary and Topographic Surveys for designated parks within the City of Miami Gardens. Parks completed to date include, Bennett Lifter, Scott Park, AJ King, Betty T. Ferguson, Buccaneer, Lester Brown, Bunche Water Park, Norwodd Park and Risco Park. FPL Port Everglades Eller Substation – Florida Power & Light: Survey Project Manager for the proposed FPL Eller Substation site located in Port Everglades. Tasks included preparation of Boundary and Topographic Survey of the project site for engineering design and permitting; together with preparation of Sketch and Legal Descriptions for access easements and platted non-vehicular line modifications. NE 13th Street: Streetscape Project – City of Fort Lauderdale: Survey Project Manager for N.E. 13th Street Route Survey project as required for the engineering design of the streetscape between NE 3rd Avenue and NE 9th Avenue, City of Fort Lauderdale, including the intersecting streets of N.E. 3rd Avenue, N.E. 4th Avenue, N.E. 5th Avenue, N.E. 5th Terrace, N.E. 6th Avenue, N.E. 8th Avenue, N.E. 9th Avenue, Dixie Highway and Progresso Drive. The project tasks included a right-of-way design survey of the required corridor, review and quality control all survey data collection, and deliver a complete route survey in AutoCAD format to the City of Fort Lauderdale Transportation & Mobility Department. Stormwater Mapping Basin 5 Drainage Improvements – City of Dania Beach, FL. Survey Project Manager for the collection of survey data and as-built drainage and sanitary infrastructure information for the Basin 5, Phase II drainage improvement project for the City of Dania Beach.
