18. Delete Policy 8J. as follows: <br /> Policy 8J. By 2012, the City of Sunny Isles Beach shall adopt land development <br /> buildings in accordance with the urban design manual referenced in Policy 81., including <br /> provisions for: <br /> Open space in the form of squares, plazas, or green areas in residential <br /> and business zoning categories; <br /> ii) A diversity of uses, including designs that have a mixture of retail, <br /> iii) Diversity of housing and construction types; <br /> parking where appropriate, and to encourage off street parking in the rear <br /> ertiecs; and <br /> v) A hierarchy of street types and designs, ranging from pedestrian and bike <br /> and trip making needs by addressing cross sections, corner radii, <br /> 19. Amend Objective 9 as follows: <br /> Objective 9 <br /> Energy efficient and climate change resilient development shall be accomplished through <br /> land use patterns, development standards, site planning, landscaping, building design, <br /> and through land use patterns and multi-modal transportation systems. <br /> 20. Amend Policy 9A. as follows: <br /> Policy 9A. The City of Sunny Isles Beach shall facilitate contiguous urban <br /> development, infill, redevelopment of substandard or underdeveloped urban areas, mixed <br /> use activity centers with a priority for the Town Center, mass transit supportive <br /> development, and mixed- use projects to promote energy conservation. <br /> 21. Amend Policy 9B. as follows: <br /> Policy 9B. Solar Updated Ggreen design guidelines for such items as street <br /> passageway alignments, landscaping, setbacks, building orientation, and relationship to <br /> water bodies and development standards shall be incorporated as appropriate in the land <br /> development regulations, as they will be revised by 204217 in accordance with Policy 8J. <br /> of this Element. <br /> A-7 <br />
