enhance the City's viability as a location for businesses, particularly businesses <br /> associated with the hospitality and service industries that form the City's economic base, <br /> or that provide key services and employment opportunities to residents and visitors. <br /> Policy 16H. The Community Strategic Plan shall contain strategies to coordinate with <br /> order to foster the achievement of mutually beneficial goals regarding quality of life, <br /> infrastructure, the transportation network, coastal area planning, economic,development, <br /> and other areas of common interest. <br /> Policy 161. The Community Strategic Plan shall be developed in accordance with and <br /> Visioning Element. <br /> 37. Add a new Future Land Use Element Monitoring Measures Section as follows: <br /> The following Monitoring Measures will be utilized by the City in its ongoing planning <br /> programs and Comprehensive Plan Evaluation and Appraisal process to measure <br /> progress in achieving the objectives of the Future Land Use Element: <br /> Monitoring Measure(s): <br /> 1. Development of at least three mixed use redevelopment projects (projects <br /> containing some mix of retail, office and residential uses) in the Town Center <br /> area between 2015 and 2030 that are consistent with this Comprehensive <br /> Plan and that achieve a compatibility score of 1 — 3 as described in Future <br /> Land Use Element Policy 8D. <br /> 2. The location of lands designated for neighborhood business, or mixed use <br /> development containing neighborhood retail, within 1/4 mile of all residential <br /> areas by 2030. <br /> 3. Enough residentially or mixed use land to accommodate a projected 2030 <br /> population of 25,362 persons. <br /> 4. At least ten acres of designated commercial or mixed use land per 1,000 <br /> residents. <br /> 5. Development Compatibility Review procedures, and other provisions <br /> necessary to implement this Comprehensive Plan, adopted into the Land <br /> Development Regulations by 2020. <br /> A-14 <br />
