The City shall may seek specific agreements with other local governments <br /> concerning the provision of affordable housing as referenced in Rule (J 5.010 (3) (c) (10) <br /> F.A.C. which reads as follows" "The element shall contain one or more policies for each <br /> objective which address implementation activities for...confirming arrangements with <br /> other local governments concerning affordable housing. If it is not economically feasible <br /> values within its jurisdiction, or if meeting that demand in its jurisdiction would require the <br /> direction of populations toward coastal high hazard areas, a local government may satisfy <br /> government. {9J 5.010(3) (c) 11 <br /> 2. Add a new Policy 21. as follows: <br /> Policy 21. The City shall encourage the development of workforce housing units <br /> (affordable to 120% and less of median family income) in mixed use development and <br /> along complete streets and transit corridors that provide a full range of mobility options. <br /> 3. Add a new Policy 2J. as follows: <br /> Policy 2J. The City shall encourage the development of affordable and workforce <br /> housing units (affordable to 120% and less of median family income) through the <br /> provision of density bonuses in the Land Development Regulations, and other appropriate <br /> measures. <br /> 4. Add a new Policy 5D. as follows: <br /> Policy 5D. The City shall protect the integrity of its residential neighborhoods by <br /> ensuring that infill development achieves a compatibility score of 1 — 3, and adjacent <br /> development achieves a compatibility score of 1 — 4, as described in Future Land Use <br /> Element Policy 8D. <br /> 5. Add a new Objective 9 and policies 9A. — 9B. as follows: <br /> Objective 9 — "Green" Housing <br /> Encourage housing design and developments that are energy efficient and enhance the <br /> overall health, safety and welfare of residents. - <br /> Policy 9A. The City shall encourage residential development and redevelopment <br /> projects to use Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED), Florida Green <br /> A-23 <br />
