<br /> INTERGOVERNMENTAL COORDINATION ELEMENT AMENDMENTS
<br /> 1. Amend Policy 2B. as follows:
<br /> Policy 2B. The City may shall use the South Florida Regional Planning Council's
<br /> dispute resolution process when necessary to mediate the resolution of conflicts with
<br /> other local governments and regional agencies as it pertains to land use and the Goals,
<br /> Objectives and Policies of the Comprehensive Plan. The City may use alternative
<br /> procedures whenever appropriate for the matter of imminent dispute, including
<br /> agreements authorized by section 163.3171(4), F.S., or other non-judicial approaches.
<br /> 2. Amend Objective 3 as follows:
<br /> Objective 3
<br /> The City will identify and establish joint processes with other local agencies for
<br /> collaborative planning on population projections, school siting, facilities subject to
<br /> concurrency, facilities with countywide significance, potential climate change mitigation,
<br /> resilience and adaptation, and problematic land uses.
<br /> 3. Amend Policy 3A. as follows:
<br /> Policy 3A. All planning activities pertaining to development and redevelopment and the
<br /> provision of public services and facilities in the City of Sunny Isles Beach shall be
<br /> consistent with the "Population Estimates and Projections" outlined below, as they are
<br /> periodically amended and updated. •
