RFQ No. 16‐06‐01 <br /> 35 <br />10C062016D – 631216982 <br /> <br />scan sonar; magnetometer surveys; jet probes and vibracores for the Broward County 5‐mile long section <br />(Segment II) of the shore protection project. <br />Field Operations Manager, Beach Restoration Project, Florida, Collier County, Florida <br />Mr. Andrews coordinated and provided field operation supervision for the phases of a comprehensive marine <br />geotechnical and geophysical investigation in support of the Collier County restoration project. The marine <br />investigation consisted of three distinct phases. Phase I included research and analysis and critical evaluation <br />of historical information and data for the areas offshore Collier County. Phase II consisted of collecting <br />offshore geotechnical data which included 50 sediment jet probes, 39 surface samples and hydrographic <br />survey. Potential sediment deposits were identified during this phase. Phase III included more detailed <br />geotechnical and geophysical investigations of the potential areas identified during Phase II investigations <br />and a cultural resources investigation of the selected deposits using magnetometers and sidescan sonar. A <br />total of 50 geotechnical vibracores, detailed seismic and sidescan data, were collected during the Phase III.
