 City of Sunny Isles Beach, Florida  <br />Shoreline Surveying and Mapping Consulting Services  <br />  <br />  <br />  <br />CB&I Environmental & Infrastructure, Inc. RFQ No. 16‐06‐01   <br />  34 <br />10C062016D – 631216982   <br />  <br />Matthew Andrews  <br />Survey Technician – Hydrographic Survey  <br />Professional Qualifications  <br />Matthew Andrews has been working in the area of coastal and  <br />oceanographic geophysical survey since 1982. Mr. Andrews has been  <br />the field supervisor for more than 40 marine sand searches for beach  <br />restoration projects throughout the Gulf coast and eastern United  <br />States including Alabama, Texas, Louisiana, Florida, New York, New  <br />Jersey, Delaware, Massachusetts and North Carolina. He is  <br />responsible for supervising the field operations and reviewing the  <br />process and interpretation of geophysical and geotechnical data  <br />Relevant Project Experience  <br />Field Operations Manager, NE 16th Avenue Corridor Right of Way  <br />Verification and Topographic Survey, Miami‐Dade County Public  <br />Works and Waste Management Department, Miami‐Dade, Florida  <br />Miami‐Dade County Public Works and Waste Management  <br />Department contracted CB&I to provide survey services for the NE  <br />16th Avenue Corridor Right of Way Verification and Topographic  <br />Survey. The work included verification of the NE 16th Avenue Right of  <br />Way as well as location of all improvements, overhead utilities, and  <br />location, inverts, and material for storm and sanitary sewers. All work  <br />was conducted underneath the direct supervision of a Florida  <br />Registered Surveyor and Mapper.   <br />Survey Technician, Port Miami Hydrographic Survey, Miami, Florida  <br />The Port of Miami contracted with CB&I to provide hydrographic  <br />survey services in support of current port expansion and  <br />improvement projects. Surveys included a detailed multi‐beam  <br />survey, a sidescan sonar survey, and a Coda Echoscope survey of  <br />several areas of the Port.  <br />Field Operations Manager, Nearshore Edge Multi‐beam Survey,  <br />Broward County, Florida  <br />Broward County Environmental Protection Department contracted  <br />CB&I to conduct a multi‐beam and interferometric survey. CB&I  <br />surveyed approximately 15 miles of shoreline, from water depths of  <br />approximately 5 feet to 30 feet. The survey targeted the nearshore  <br />hardbottom edge and was used for ground truthing and relief  <br />measurements. CB&I collected over 100 survey line miles and  <br />incorporated findings from bathymetric, seismic, side scan sonar,  <br />magnetometer surveys, jet probes and vibracores.  <br />Field Operations Manager, Segments II and III Shore Protection  <br />Projects Broward County, Florida  <br />Mr. Andrews served as a survey technician for the offshore sand  <br />search and geotechnical investigations; bathymetric, seismic, side  <br />   <br /> Education  <br /> Bachelor of Science,  <br />Geology, University of North  <br />Carolina, Wilmington, North  <br />Carolina, 1992  <br /> Associate of Applied Science,  <br />Marine Technology, Cape  <br />Fear Technical College,  <br />Wilmington, North Carolina,  <br />1981  <br /> Highlights  <br /> More than 34 years of  <br />surveying experience  <br /> Served as a field supervisor  <br />for more than 40 marine  <br />sand searches for beach  <br />restoration projects  <br /> Registrations/Certifications  <br /> NITROX Certification, 1993  <br /> PADI Advanced Open Water  <br />SCUBA Diver, 1996
