PGA Bascule Bridge
PGA Boulevard, West Palm Beach, FL
Field Supervisor/ Senior Party Chief for a project involving the partial demolition, reconstruction, and rehabilitation
of an existing bridge crossing the Intracoastal Waterway in West Palm Beach, Florida. The existing bridge
consisted of a two-lane eastbound structure adjacent to a four-lane westbound structure, with shared mechanical
and electrical components. Over time, this caused significant maintenance challenges for the client, and led to
routine mechanical malfunctions. The solution was to demolish the older two-lane structure and reconstruct it with
three lanes to even the loading on each bridge. Demolition activities, as well as reconstruction activities for
bascule pier and bascule leaf components, were modeled in 3-D to plan each construction activity. New
machinery and electrical equipment were installed, and other components were upgraded. The westbound bridge
received minor structural modifications and repairs. Checking lay out of Bascule Bridge, cast-in-place girders,
conventional AASHTO girders and reinforced earth walls to meet FDOT Standards.

R/W Monumentation
Miami-Dade and Monroe Counties, FL
Field and office coordination, Senior Party Chief for Okeechobee Boulevard from Le Juene Road to FL Turnpike -
US1, from NE 36th Street to NE 199th Street - SR 826 from NW 25th Street to NW 103rd Street - Le Jeune Rd
from NW 7th Street to NW 36th Street - West Dixie Highway from NE 119th Street to NE 186th Street - NE 135
Street from NW 7th Avenue to Biscayne Boulevard - NE 125 Street from NW 7th Avenue to Biscayne Boulevard -
Flagler Street from NW 27th Avenue to NE 2nd Street, from SR826 to NW 27th Avenue - US 41/SW 8th Street
from NW 127 Avenue, to NW 42 Avenue - Red Road/NW 57th Avenue from SW 40th Street to Perimeter Road -
NW 87th Avenue, from SW 8th Street to Flagler Street - Big Pine Key R/W Control - Key Largo R/W Control - 107
Avenue from Flagler Street to Coral Way, R/W control and Monumentation.
