D. Approach and Methodology

standards set forth by the Federal Geographic Data Committee as referenced
in Part I.C.2 of this specification.

5. Copies of all checked, standard field books, computation and reduction files,
and abstracted final positions shall be provided to the FDEP. Field books
shall be scanned and pages amassed into a .pdf document for electronic
submittal.

6. Any other data or deliverables that the City or County require, such as volume
calculations and reports.

Schedule

The critical element to scheduling shoreline surveying services is weather and sea state. Not
only does high sea state affect the accuracy of the survey it introduces a safety hazard. This
type of work must be completed when seas are less than 3 feet. But, in fact it should be
done when seas are less than 2 feet. Entering the surf zone in a boat is hazardous when
waves are breaking. Thus, it is critical that a large enough window of time be allowed by
the City to schedule services during calm conditions.

Without knowing the exact scope of services that will be required and working only on past
experience, it is anticipated that each survey event will take approximately one week in the
field and an additional week in the office to produce deliverables.
