<br />Technological Capabilities
<br />Bowman Consulting offers the most advanced experience and methodology to 3D laser scanning and unmanned aircraft systems (UAS)
<br />mapping allowing our team to deliver the most detailed and precise data to our clients. By using scanning and UAS mapping techniques,
<br />we can minimize the field time and costs of your project, create interactive models which can be reviewed, assessed and planned for fu-
<br />ture development, and collect and archive data for future use and reference. Bowman Consulting has invested in best-in-class equipment
<br />while building a team of the most seasoned professionals who are experts in their field.
<br />3D Laser Scanning
<br />Our 3D scanning team offers the following services: 3D modeling and 2D plans; Building Information Modeling (BIM); historic architec-
<br />ture as-builts; building facade inspection services; highway, bridge and railroad as-builts; pre- and post-construction condition surveys;
<br />and volumetric surveys.
<br />UAS Mapping
<br />Our UAS mapping services include standard ortho imagery, near-infrared sensing capabilities, 3D terrain extraction, and monitoring
<br />applications. For tasks assigned on this project, Bowman Consulting would be able use these technologies to collect topography whenever
<br />possible. Bowman Consulting Group currently holds a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Section 333 Authorization, allowing us
<br />to operate a UAS to conduct survey and mapping applications. In addition, Bowman has a Licensed Pilot on staff to conduct all its aerial
<br />missions and to operate the UAS.
<br />Utilizing 3D scanning and UAS mapping techniques creates a safer environment for our field crews by keeping them out of the roadways
<br />or other dangerous environments, and subsequently reduces risk or injury or hazard. In addition, our team uses this technology to scan
<br />buildings or other structures that are adjacent to construction projects, and where there is concern for the prevention of damage to those
<br />adjacent structures. Data capture of this nature could be a onetime occurrence, and kept as a record of existing conditions pre-construc-
<br />tion. Alternatively, this technology could also be used to monitor specific points on a structure and report variation of time, if any.
<br />Firm Resources
<br />Bowman Consulting provides civil engineering, planning, surveying, 3D laser scanning, environmental, landscape architecture, water/waste-
<br />water engineering, and transportation services to a variety of public and private markets throughout the United States. It also offers particular
<br />expertise in zoning, economic development and in land development/building regulations at the local, state and federal levels. The work of
<br />the firm includes commercial, industrial, educational, residential, retail, health care, recreational, utility, municipal, and federal projects.
