PROJECT EXPERIENCE
Indian River County Truck Haul Beach Renourishment
lin Hydrographic 1
was hired by Ranger
Construction as the
coastal engineering
consultant to assist with
their first ever beach
renourishment effort. 1
The truck haul project
was completed over a
couple of years 2010- , ' • •' ' * ,
2012. to avoid the turkle a - r• ;'f `, 'r
nesting season. David
Olin, PE acted as the
QA/QC engineer testing
the stockpiled beach fill
material at the sand
mine with our in house sand lab and also assisted Ranger with the ideal construction
methodology given the winter storm conditions. As part of this effort, Olin Hydrographic
also performed pre and post construction beach profile and hydrographic surveys, project
design stakeout, volume calculations, sand compaction monitoring, turbidity monitoring and
supervised construction
activities. The project was
extremely successful for the
contractor and the County
said it was the best project
they had done to date.
4
ltiitr kyr . 7
www.OlinHydrographic.com
Consulting Engineering, Environmental, and Mapping Services
