<br />Project Experience
<br />Mr. Olin has over 19 years of experience working with civil, coastal and
<br />environmental projects in Florida, Central America, and throughout the
<br />Caribbean. W. Olin has demonstrated expertise in waterfront engineering,
<br />surveying and mapping, environmental monitoring and mitigation, and
<br />oceanographic studies. Mr. Olin's strong diving and boating background
<br />combines with his engineering, surveying and environmental education to
<br />make him uniquely qualified in the field of coastal engineering and mapping.
<br />Surveying and Mapping: Mr. Olin has performed upland and hydrographic
<br />surveys for a variety of projects including beach monitoring, construction
<br />stakeout, coastal structures, inlets, pipeline corridors and dredging. He has
<br />demonstrated expertise with a variety of hydrographic equipment including
<br />single beam echo sounders, multibeam sonar, sub bottom seismic profiling,
<br />differential GPS, real time kinematic GPS, electronic tide gauges, sound
<br />velocity meters, towed cameras, and side scan sonar. Mr. Olin is proficient in
<br />the use of surveying software including Coastal Oceanographic°s HYPACK
<br />MAX, Trimble's HYDROPRO and TRIMBLE GEOMATICS OFFICE,
<br />AUTOCAD, CIVIL CAD 3D, SOFTDESK, TDS SURVEYLINK, CORPSCON
<br />and TERRAMODEL.
<br />Waterfront Engineering: Mr. Olin
<br />specializes in waterfront engineering
<br />projects. He has acted as lead investigator
<br />and head engineer on a variety of shoreline
<br />improvement projects, including bulkheads,
<br />seawalls and docking facilities. His
<br />experience includes inspection and
<br />rehabilitation of existing structures as well as
<br />design and engineering of new structures.
<br />Project size spans from small single-family
<br />home bulkheads and docks to large 100+ slip
<br />commercial marina facilities and ports.
<br />Environmental Assessments: Mr. Olin also has
<br />an extensive environmental background,
<br />specializing in the areas of nearshore marine
<br />ecosystems and coral and seagrass mapping and
<br />relocation. Masters course work in stream and
<br />lake ecology and biological habitat mapping aid.
