Palm Beach County Artificial Reef Construction, Palm Beach County, FL - As project manager, was involved in project from bidding through completion. Project consisted of construction of several acres of artificial reef as mitigation for beach renourishment projects. Construction tasks included construction and installation of Tensar geogrid mattresses on a geogridlgeotextile base followed by limestone boulders. This project required use of a crane barge with tug as well as a concurrent landside operation to build the Tensar mattresses and supply the geotextiles and limestone. Ocean Outfall Modifications, Boca Raton, FL - Performed initial survey to identify areas of pipeline exposed by storm erosion. Responsible for inspection and approval of work for city engineer. Project consisted of placing articulated concrete mats on the existing ocean outfall pipeline. Project required the accurate underwater placement (six inch tolerance) of seven -ton concrete mats from offshore barge, loading and unloading of barges in an offshore environment, protection of sensitive marine communities during mooring operations and underwater construction, development of coral relocation techniques and diving operation for extended period in dynamic offshore conditions. South Lake Worth Inlet Feasibility Study, Palm Beach County, FL - ATM was awarded the contract to perform a fact finding and feasibility study to present the City of Boynton Beach with alternatives to improve Navigability, Public safety and water quality improvements. Responsibilities included site assessments, deployment of tide and current meters, research and interviews with waterfront users. The study findings were presented to the city and the public for feedback and incorporated these into a ranking matrix of alternatives. Martin_ County _DredginpProiects,_Martin, County, FL - Provided support to Martin County for several dredging projects including site assessments, feasibility studies sediment sampling and testing, permitting and construction contract administration. Boynton Marina Master Planning, Boynton Beach, FL - Provided site assessment and recommendations for maintenance, repair and future planning at the Boynton city marina. Cable Bahamas Coral Reef Assessment Surveys 2009-2005, Boca Raton, FL - These surveys included initial survey, reattachment of approximately 80 live corals that had been displaced by the cable and continued monitoring to document the condition of the resources. Twin Rivers Parks Shoreline Protection Program, Rocky Point, FL - Served as engineer's quality assurance representative, performed onsite construction inspections, coordinated with the contractor and owners representative to achieve project goals. TYCO Submarine Systems Limited TSSL Artificial Reef, 2001: Alcatel Artificial Reef Construction 2001 Cable Bahamas Artificial Reef Construction, 2001- Boca Raton, FL - These three projects were constructed as mitigation for cable damage to the reef. Each reef was precisely and separately constructed as part of a larger project and provided a corridor between two larger artificial reefs. Reverse Osmosis Ocean Outfall Installation -Hobe Sound FL - Performed various services for this project from bidding through completion. Project involved providing marine support for directional drilling and installation of a pipeline a half -mile offshore. Assisted with the environmental protection plan as well as with design and installation of a coffer cell offshore to contain bentonite drilling mud offshore, extract and contain the drilling mud on the barge. Provided dive support to survey, construct coffer cell and set pilings and supports for an offshore diffuser. Town of Palm Beach Public Safety Docks — Worked on design and planning for construction of dockage for police and fire/rescue. Developed layouts and detailed structural and infrastructure plans for construction.
