a
XICMM&CREED collected high-density LiDAR and oblique/ortho imagery for approximately 1,600
miles of transmission lines to support a Florida Power & Light NERC program.
LiDAR, oblique and ortho imagery data was then processed to produce PLS CAD
models for analysis and reporting.
Distribution System Vegetation Management Study, Duke Energy, Wakulla and
Hillsborough Counties, FL: Mr. Stallings served as survey project manager for
conducting an herbicide LiDAR survey project for Duke Energy. This project
consisted of collecting, processing and analyzing aerial LiDAR and imagery to
determine areas where herbicide application is required within various transmission
line corridors.
Landfill UAS Flight, Garrett & Moore, Inc., Raleigh, NC: Mr. Stallings conducted
the UAS data collection, created the point cloud using dense image matching,
produced an ortho photograh and created several derivative products.
Gulf Intracoastal Waterway LiDAR Mapping and DTM, AECOM, Galveston, TX:
Mr. Stallings served as photogrammetric technician. Scope included a LiDAR survey
data of thirty-two placement areas at various locations along the Gulf Intracoastal
Waterway in Texas. Hydrographic single beam and topographic survey data of five
placement areas was collected and merged with the LIDAR survey data. The USACE
Galveston District will utilize the survey data to determine the current topography
and dredge material capacity of each placement area. This data will be used in the
development of a Dredged Material Management Plan (DMMP) for the GIWW High
Island to Brazos River project area.
LiDAR and Orthophotography, Ayres Associates, Inc., Boulder, CO: Mr. Stallings
served as survey project manager. LiDAR mapping services and digital color
orthophotography were provided for approximately 138.3 square miles for the City
of Boulder, CO. This data will be used in future floodplain and mitigation studies,
vegetation and canopy analysis and urban planning studies.
Roxboro Plant Aerial/Ground Surveys, Duke Energy, Semora, NC: McKim &
Creed performed a topographic survey of approximately 400 acres at the Roxboro
Duke Energy Plant. The topographic limits were on the northeast side of the
plant. Aerial LiDAR and conventional surveying methods were used in this survey.
4,458 Square Miles of LiDAR Mapping in North Texas, Texas Water Development
Board, Various Counties, TX: Mr. Stallings was a survey project manager for this
project. Scope included airborne LiDAR acquisition and mapping for more than
4,400 square miles of North Texas, and included the development of raw point
clouds, classified point clouds, DEMs, intensity images, and hydro -flattening
breaklines to FEMA and USES specifications. Data produced by this project was part
of the ongoing data collection by the State of Texas to support the mapping and
modeling of flood plains, hydrography and terrain. Additional stakeholders in this
project include the U.S. Department of Agriculture Natural Resources Conservation
Service (NRCS) and the San Antonio River Authority (SARA.).
www.mckimcreed.com
