BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT AND RELEVANCE TO THIS CONTRACT (Include scope, size, and cost)

The Yacht Club Way Bridge Repair Project included the design, permitting,
coordination of LAP funding, approvals, and paperwork through FDOT, and
structural repairs and upgrades to the existing bridge that traverses a tidal water
canal along Yacht Club Way in the City of Aventura. The project improvements
included repairs to the bridge as outlined in a bridge inspection report prepared
by EAC Consultants, Inc. in April 2008. The bridge is listed as Bridge ID No.
878500 on the FDOT system. The specific work included repairs to concrete
spalling and cracks within the bridge structure and the stabilization of the existing
wing walls along the eastern and western faces of the bridge. The Yacht Club
Way Bridge connects East Country Club Drive to Turnberry Way in the City of
Aventura. The bridge was initially inspected by Marlin Engineering Inc. (on behalf
of FDOT) and by EAC Consulting Inc. (on behalf of the City of Aventura). Repairs
made were based on the recommendations in these reports. The bridge is part a 4-lane divided roadway and spans
approximately 77 feet. It is an important link in the City’s transportation network as it provides the only point of access
for a major residential area within the City.

25.
