BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT AND RELEVANCE TO THIS CONTRACT (Include scope, size, and cost) <br />Provided professional services to redesign and rehabilitate the existing Dania <br />Beach Municipal Marina. The scope of services included a feasibility study, <br />marketing and dockage rate analysis, planning, programming, cost estimates, <br />dredging analysis, boundary survey, specifications and construction drawings <br />and Construction Management, in addition to applying for and securing partial <br />funding from Florida Inland Navigation District, Broward Boating Improvement <br />Program and FDEP’s Clean Vessel Act grant programs to assist in construction <br />funding. The scope of design and construction included the following: <br />demolition of existing marina and seawall, dredging, construction of a new <br />seawall, marina and docks, hardscape, landscape and security improvements, <br />renovation of existing lifeguard facilities and a new Dock Master Building that <br />includes laundry, locker, and restroom facilities for tenants of the Marina. The <br />marina has a completely new layout to maximize space and revenue along <br />with a new fire protection system, new electrical hook-ups, and sewer pump <br />out facilities. Craven Thompson and Associates, Inc. performed a Topographic & Hydrographic survey on the Dania <br />Beach Marina and parking lot for the City of Dania Beach for design purposes . The survey included hydrographic <br />surveying of the Marina area for proposed dredging and bulkhead replacement.
