BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT AND RELEVANCE TO THIS CONTRACT (Include scope, size, and cost) <br />Craven Thompson and Associates represented the City of Fort Lauderdale as <br />the Resident Project Representative for the Sistrunk Boulevard Streetscape <br />and Enhancement Project providing Construction Engineering and Inspection <br />Services. While the design of this project was managed by the City’s <br />Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) the construction portion is <br />administered by the City of Fort Lauderdale’s Public Works Department. <br />Primary funding for construction was provided by the Fort Lauderdale CRA. <br />The project area encompasses 2.5 miles of Sistrunk Boulevard (NE/NW 6th <br />Street) from Federal Highway to NW 24th Avenue and includes streetscape <br />and infrastructure improvements consisting of landscaped medians, paver <br />sidewalks, decorative street lighting, traffic signal mast arm installations, <br />undergrounding of overhead utilities, drainage improvements, new water <br />mains and the relocation of various sanitary sewer lines. Work included on- <br />site resolution of construction conflicts and design changes, construction <br />inspection services for quality control and project certification, coordination <br />with FPL, AT&T and Comcast for utility conversions from overhead to <br />underground, close coordination with existing businesses during construction, <br />public relations to keep all parties informed of the ongoing improvem ents, <br />maintenance of traffic coordination to ensure continuous access to all affected <br />properties, monthly Pay Application reviews, Change Order reviews and <br />various other construction management duties. This project was partially, <br />federally funded through FDOT LAP funding. <br /> <br />TOTAL CONSTRUCTION COST: Approximately $14 Million. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />25.
